- terry clussmanThis company has called me 4 times today . and I can't understand I thing they are saying I think you're from Iran I ask to speak to somebody who spoke English and they hung up
- Brad AndersonThey called 5 times the day before yesterday. Today just for fun, I called back. The minute he spoke lawsuit I told him I was recording the conversation. He told me I could not do that, I told him it was his choice, hang up or transfer me to a manager. He said one would call me back and hung up. I immediately added him to my Mr Number program, if that number calls, the phone immediately hangs up. There is no lawsuit, they count on people not knowing any better. What a joke!
- Caller: Credit of America
- Jerri replies to champ4christ| 1 replyI begged them to blow themselves up.
- maryJaneHi, I too have received numerous calls with the same messages. It's a recording. Do not bother answering. It's a scam. They want to steal your identity. Do not be scared. It's not legal to threaten someone. The calls are probably coming from overseas. I think they are spoofing the numbers. They need to be stopped.
- Shan| 2 repliesI think this is a total scam, they call every now & then and always the same message. I would love some tips on what I can say when I call back to get them to remove me from their scam list.
- MJG replies to ShanSince you know it is a cam--- real process servers do not call first!!
Tell the caller you want WRITTEN proof of the "problem" that is MAILED (post office) to you. and you are recording the call. Expect threats (illegal) and excuses. Hope that helps!! - kd replies to Todd| 1 replydon't waste your time the FTC does nothing you file a complaint and you never hear a thing back! Don't call these people back all you do is verify your name, phone number and that you give them someone to threaten - DUH! You are wasting your time and energy and they are giving you high blood pressure !@&*&() All they do is a reverse look up on your phone number find an address and you just called them back and verified your phone number! wasn't that "SMART"! They use fake law firms, fake pay day loans, they get your SS # from stolen SS # from stolen medical records - I had my identity stolen this year with taxes found all this out from accountant - DONT EVER CALL THEM BACK!
- Tamianth replies to kdThe FTC doesn't? You mean like this? Also the CFPB is on these also and they are cracking on these guys as well as the legit ones that break the law. Even some of the states are cracking down!

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. - Mary bookhamerYes I got a call from this number 6462056657 and the said I was in trouble and they was coning after me

- Wary2015I received 3 calls from this number today with voicemails threatening me if I didn't return the call I'd have to suffer the consequences! I called back, got a guy names Charles Jones, from the Law Office representing United States Credit Services. He said I was on a lawsuit for apparently not paying back a loan. When I asked him who I said he couldn't give me that information as it had been turned over to his office. When I asked for the mailing address, he paused for a while before giving it to me and then couldn't spell the street address when I asked him too. Also, he couldn't read his script very well!!! I am a customer service rep and have a script but no one would know I used one, but he was very obvious. I did ask if he was an attorney and he said he was. He even gave me a bar number. I haven't checked it out yet but am going to. I told him I was reporting them to the FTC and Consumer Affairs, which I am. Oh, he did ask me if I ever checked my email as they had sent me 32 emails in regard to this!!!!! This is such BS!!!! Guess some people may fall for this, but please, please don't!!!!!!
- Caller: United States Credit Service

I've heard it so many times before.
