$ $ $ $ $ is the goal - Mike carr replies to jesseSurvey companies certainly are not exempt from Do Not Call.
- Mike carr replies to mm| 1 replyYou'll find that these people are "calling on behalf of" which means they are not the survey company itself, but a call center that's being paid to make calls on their behalf.
If you tell them you want to be taken off their list, by law they have to do it. The problem is, they'll tell you it could take up to 30 days, which in fact means they have to report the number back to their client, who is then required to remove your number, by law.
If they're calling your cell, the easiest way is to just add them to the auto reject list.
I've no idea where they got my number, but I'm assuming it's the Google voice number that's forwarded to my mobile phone number. I may remove the Google voice number altogether, and be done with it... its not like it's any big advantage. - BlueThese people suck! - JanineThis is the second out-of-state number that has been calling me without leaving messages. I do not answer as I don't know who it is. I am getting these kinds of calls from Florida and New York, and I have no affiliation with them.
- How to block call on Galaxy Note 3These lame azz's have called my cell phone twice 6-12-15 and 6-13-15. The name on the caller ID, "UNIVERSAL SURVE." I answered the phone on the 12th, "John Jacob Dinglehymerschmidts." I repeated the name three times and only heard keyboard clicking sounds in the background and then was disconnected. I missed there call today (6-13) seeing the number in my call log.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and have blocked the number. THIS IS HOW: Go to your list of calls and place a finger tip on the screen on the number you want blocked in a second or two an options menu will appear. Select add to reject list and poof the problem is solved. You can repeat this process with other numbers you want blocked.
I am on the do not call registry, which has eliminated many of the repeat telemarketers from calling. There are times when I answer, and state, " this number is being recorded to gather evidence for legal action against any and all telemarketers who by calling this number violate the terms of the do not call registry initiated for this number on 7-21-2014 and active as of 8-21-2014. Please state you first and last name, who you represent and the reason for the call." They always disconnect.- Caller: UNIVERSAL SURVE

- ShannonFirst time I was called by this number i answered it, thinking it was my brother calling from someone else's phone. A woman's voice was on the line but speaking so fast I couldn't make sense of it. Seemed like some kind of solicitation. After getting called three times a day over three consecutive days I added the number to my phone's auto reject list. It doesn't ring through but I'm still getting notices on my phone 2-3 times a day that they are still calling me. I'd love to know who to file the harassment suit against because this is ridiculous!

- AnnoyedBeen getting calls from this number for a week now. Never a voicemail, no caller ID info save the number. If this is a survey company, or any legitimate business their name should be on the ID and they should leave a message. Argh. 8 years of complaints and they're still in business.
Stop calling! - DanReceived a call from this number and the caller indicated she was with a research firm conducting an opinion poll of great national importance if I was willing to answer some questions. I didn't catch the name of the firm but she said it and I asked her again, but did not make a note of it. I told the caller that I would participate in the survey and waited for her to start. There was a lengthy pause and she asked if I was still on the line, to which I said yes, I'm still here. She said hold on and said something unintelligible. There was considerable background noise, e.g., numerous people talking as though in a call center. There was another long pause while I waited. She said she would have to call me back but said nothing else and stayed on the line. I said I don't understand and held on a few moments more but eventually hung up and never received a call back from this "research firm." If this is truly a research firm they must be selecting who they talk to judging their accent/dialect, etc. Not a representative sampling of opinions and hopefully not used or sanctioned by reputable people attempting to truly discern people's views.
