Just like Tamara above, we got a call from "Paul Smith" at (646) 580-3094, who left a threatening phone message.  We have the entire message, and we will be contacting the FBI to report this, with the transcript of the whole message.  I called the number (from a public phone to try to keep them off my tail in the future) and demanded to know what kind of business this was.  The woman who answered claimed it was a legal firm and wanted phone number information.  I ignored this request and asked what kind of legal firm this was, at which point I was patched in to a 'supervisor'.  First proof that this is no law firm: there is no telephone bank in any legal firm I've ever heard of.  The 'supervisor' immediately demanded my phone number (again).  Again, I asked what kind of firm this was, and was told it was a legal firm--same as before.  Except that each time I refused to tell him my phone number, he became more and more agitated, finally telling me I could go to Hell.

Follow up: I called the FCC to complain--they are not the ones to deal with this, I find out.  Instead, I find out that we are to contact the Federal Trade Commission: 877-552-4357.  They have a long-winded phone tree, but you do eventually make it to a live person, who was very helpful and filed a complaint on my behalf.  I was also encouraged to contact the state attorney general to file a complaint.  That's next on my list!

Received a voice message on my work phone today from "David Jones" who left me a very threatening message tha t I call him back immediately to discuss a legal matter or call back with the name of my attorney. His last words were "if I do not hear back from you, then God bless you." Caller ID was 0000 and his call back number was 646-580-3094. I will NOT be calling him back. I am getting sick of these harrassing calls at my office, they are coming in almost every day, all from different parts of the country.
I filed a complaint today at https://complaint.ic3.gov. I urge EVERYONE who has been hit with these scams to file a complaint with the FBI, local law enforcement, ICS.gov, FTC, your congressmen, everywhere you can. The Federal govername could stop these organizations from terrorizing vulnerable Americans if enough pressure is put on them.

I received a phone call today from a David Jones from 646-580-3094. The man who speaks in very broken english, says he needs my lawyer's information because three criminal charges are going to be "downloaded" to my state and I will be taken by the police to jail. If I don't call him back then the only thing he can do is wish me luck as I will presumeably spend the rest of my life behind bars for my alleged crimes. I would like very much to put a stop to this kind scam and would be happy to help anyway I can.

Received calls from clown 2 times now, one was last wk, and this am too, about 9 cst. said his name was Paul Smith, left v. mail. I called them back, and talked to same guy, only this time his name was Brock Lewis. I know it was thre same guy, same voice. wanted my s.s.# and I wouldnt give it to him, said he was with LLC Law Office. Would not tell me nature of call cuz i didnt give him my s.s #. I told him I was going toreport him which i did.

I have recieved the same phone calls from work and on my personal cell phone stating that I got a loan and didn't pay it back. I went to my back to verify that I did not receive any funds. On many accounts I  have told these individuals that they have the wrong person. They are very unprofessional and please inform me how to have this stop.

I received a phone call from "00000000000" the last two days and didnt answer it. when I checked my voice mail, it was someone who spoke in broken english and sounded arabic. they told me to contact a paul smith on the first call I received and told me to call them back at 646-580-3094 then saying God bless you. I called back and got an arabic sounding woman named carol smith, she said "you know, like John Smith" which first struck me as odd.  they both said that they were going to file legal charges against me for loan fraud, money laundering etc. and wanted my attornies info. I told them to provide me with legal documentation and they said no that it was against company policy. they demanded 500 dollars before they would send me the affidavit from the courts. They try to read you an affidavit of your charges and tell you not to speak while they read. I told them to F off. they called me back again and tried to get beligerent with me over the phone. Once a checked into it that night at home, I called them the next day and demanded paperwork again. they told me that my chance to resolve this matter was over and good luck in court. Dont get scammed like this. they threatened to tell my employeer, my family etc. and would harass them to if I didnt pay them 1800.00, which was the settlement the offered me from the 5000 dollars they were seeking.

Got a call today at work from these guys.I called my lawyer and he did a little research and discovered these guys are a fraud and not to sweat it.

I rec'd a call today at my place of employment, first time, from a woman who called herself Rachel Johnson.  I did not recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail.  The message she left said the same thing about needing my lawyer to call.  I have not called back and after reading these posts I am not going to.

God dang middle eastern trying to scam me for money. Today December 15, 2010 around 12:30 pm while I was at work. Got a call from these middle eastern people with a number 0000. I believe they were Indians because you can tell by there accents. This guy calls himself  Brock Louis saying that I owe $5000 on a payday loan and if  I pay now I only have to pay around $1496. Well anyways he says that if I don’t pay now they will file a law suit on me saying that by 11am tomorrow they will come to my job and arrest me and that they promise that I was going to get terminated from my job. To be honest that kinda got me freaked out at first especially when I was at work talking to them. So talk to my boss saying that I’m going to be leaving early to deal with this issue. I mean I actually skip half of my day for this B.S from being stressed out. So went home and call them with the number they gave to me which is 646-580-3094 getting more information about this but whenever I tell them that I don’t owe that much money and that I don’t have enough money they would give me attitude on the phone repeating themselves that I owe that much. They even offered me a payment plan, saying pay half of that $1496. They actually wanted me to pay $800 today and the rest of the money on Friday. So finally I didn’t even care if something happens to me anymore told them that I’m sorry don’t have money at all. Then this guy was like alright tomorrow your going to be terminated from your job and that you will be prosecuted. He was pist off but his last word was actually GOD BLESS YOU. I was actually worried waiting for what’s going to happen to me the next day and to see If something is really going to happen to me. They kept calling me with a 0000 number but not picking up. Soo I actually went online looking for people of the same problems….BINGO….seen this website with people with the same problems and the same Issues that I’m having right now and guest what…….This B.S middle eastern phone calls was actually a scam. It was a call were these guys are trying to get easy money from people and I just found out that what there doing is a fraud and that its against the law for them to call your job especially saying that you will be prosecuted and be terminated from your job. I mean it’s a pay day loan…I mean come on you know what I mean. Soo my plan was to call them back. Soo then I did asking for that Brock Louis if that is actually his real name……hahaha I was like hahaha do you know how many people are complaining about you guys…why in the f**** would you do this to people..you guys are the real fraud here…this isn’t right. I was like my lawyer is right in front of me…soo I’m going to need documents from this issue that your prosecuting me for. My husband keeps getting calls at work saying a Paul Smith has called for him. When told my husband wasn't there, the guy calling got very rude and started threatening the boss and other co-workers with bodily harm. I called the number that was left for my husband to call, which was 646-580-3094 and a taliban voice came on and said, "Please Fragulate" and then it hung up. I am going to also contact the FBI.

These guys called my husbands work and left a message and also threatened a guy who answered the phone.....This sux....people go down for smaller issues than this...Get these people....

I received several calls at my place of work from a Jacob Martin/Charles Green. They where wanting info and had a lot of my info already. They say i filled out a online payday loan that i have never done. Please don't give them anything.

I got a cll from Jason Kennedy saying I need to call him back.  Threating to make a scene on my job.
I don't know why this guy is calling.

This person name him Richard Smith and he called from different phone numbers and try to scare you.

I too have received many threatening calls from 916-395-0000.  They tell me to call back at 646-580-3094 and if not, I too will be arrested at my place of employment.  They even called my place of employment yesterday and asked for me.  When I was transferred the call, the secretary said it was "Kristy Wood" and she jokingly said the caller could barely pronouce it.  Obviously, whatever her name was she spoke very very broken english.  But when I picked up my up the call I and said hello "Kristy" hung up on me.  Then they called back again this morning.  This time I spoke to "Justin Tyler"  and he said that I was being charged with 3 counts of  criminal charges.  And if I did not give him my lawyer's info "then Good Luch and God Bless".  I started to drill him and he said he worked for LLC Law Office (not very creative) in NY.  This "Justin" was very unprofessional for supposedly working for a law office.  I tried to give him my lawyer info and he didn't know how to spell David (shady).  He asked me for his badge number.  Who knows their lawyer's badge number?????  I said that I didn't have it.  "Justin" said that I needed to take down the 646# and either my lawyer or myself needed to call back in 30 minutes or (here comes a threat) I would be arrested and he hoped someone would loan me money as I owed over $5,000 to this Pay Day Loan company.  He also said that he would contact my current employer and charge them and family members as well.  So, I took the number down and tried to contact David (my lawyer friend)  but could not reach him.  I then called the number back and got a representative.  I played very nice and just asked some general questions as what company he worked for and who was one of the lawyers repesenting this company.  He told me he worked for Richard Ross.  These names are just too common.  Again, not very creative.  Needless to say more than a half hour has gone by and no calls back or to my employer as I am working today.  Total BS  Scared the sh*t out ouf me at first. But now that I have found this site and did some of my own research, why are these people getting away with this.  At least I was smart enough to never even mention giving them money to stop calling.  I am now going to report this the FBI.  Sorry that this is so long winded but I have been getting calls from this number for at least a couple of years now.  They come back every six months or so.  Thanks for listening....

Did you ever get them to stop calling you. This "Charles Greene" is calling me and my place of work.

These guys are so dumb, first they call me at 4:30 in the morning, second, they can't speak English but give a name like David Williams, and third, they use the exact same script as they did on me 6 months ago and a year ago.

They really expect me to believe them?

I got a call from this # and a lady with a strong accent asked me to call back or she wishes me good luck. I have received a lot of calls from different #s about the same issue. This has got to stop
