Also got call from guy claiming to be from amazon, something about business. Wanted email address so gave him a bogus one.

called me asking if i was working for my current employer

It didn't seem legitimate. Not positive but I went with my gut.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon business with with heavy accent not sure where from. These is absolutely a scamer trying to still information probably access to your Amazon account. beware.

Had a similar call as others here, Indian sounding guy on a bad phone connection, said he represents Amazon and wanted to know who buys business supplies - I had no time for him at that point.

Asked if a <my name> was here. I said "this is <my name>". he said, OK, and hung up!

Claimed to be Amazon and wanted to send me information about a business account. He wanted me account information when I said that I already have a business account. Asked to be removed from whatever list he is calling from.

Man with foreign accent called on work phone and asked if I was, stated name, work for, stated employer and then hung up.  Thought it might be regarding a ticket with the software vendor.   No clue who it was.

Man with indian accent asked if I was "my name" of "university"; I said yes. he hung up. smells like a scam to me.

Got a call from a foreign speaking gentlemen in a call center, asking for someone that doesn't work here and was supposed to be the owner.  I asked what the call was regarding and he said ICloud security. I told him we were happy with our current security and to please remove us from his list.

Got a call from a guy who might have been non-American, somewhat fuzzy connection, asking if I was x from y, both correct. I said yes. He hung up.

They still can even though I reported the number on the do not call list....3 times a day!!!!

Scammers don't care about the DNC list.

Got a call from a heavily-accented girl who said, "Hello, I am calling on behalf of Amazon." I hung up.

Guy with accent asked if I was Donna with (the business where I am employed as a contractor, but is not my employer).    Kind of weird - I don't know how he would've gotten that information unless it was on LinkedIn, because I never list the company as my employer.    My cell phone number is NOT listed on LinkedIn and nothing with my Amazon account would have my number or employment information.    I was expecting a call from a life insurance underwriter, so when he asked if I was me, I said "yes".  Then there was silence and the call disconnected.

I called the number and there was a recording stating that I could enter the extension of the person I was calling, or press a specified number for different departments.    I pressed 1 for "sales" then got a recording that the person I was trying to call was not available.
