This is an invasion of privacy any way you look at it! Now Google is invading our private homes and phones claiming it's to avoid spam.. BS!!!!! I'll go with Yahoo services if Google don't knock their crap off.

i am locked out of my email acct until i enter an activation code from google.
a message overrides my gmail login page and tells me to enter my phone number to which they will send the activation code.
the first time i responded by clicking option button that they will call.
the second time i selected the text message button to which they would send me the activation code.

i received a call from 650-353-9140 but no activation code.
if i call 650-353-9140 i get a busy sig.
i have not receive a text msg with the activation code.

i am still locked out of my email acct.

any ideas ?

This number is in Palo Alto California (Santa Clara)
This is a land-line number
The service provider is Level 3 Communications LLC
The number is located on the 1600 Block of Middlefield Road, near Embarcadero Road.

I got a call(s)  from 650-353-9140.  A numeric code was left.
I do not know this number and I do not want to do have any
communication or business with anything attached to
this number (650-353-9140) or it's code.  

I don't know the company that called my number. When I
call the number back, I get a business signal.

Please rescue me from this monster!

I just got a call from 650-353-9140 at 10:30 pm at night????  If this is GOOGLE why are they calling me after hours???? I didn't sign up for youtube nor did I sign up for GOOGLE!  These people are whacked in the head!

I recieved a call from this number on saturday evening/sunday morning hours aug 27th 28th, i dont know this number nor do i have a google or yahoo acct,no one answered when i said hello when they called.

I also got a call from +16503539140, and it was a disturbing call as, I was worried thinking that it was from one of the companies that applied to for employment. I missed the call. What a hilarious experience. Thanks guys for the clarification. I feel relieved.

What language is that? The beggining loolks like French but at the end it loks like an African language.

Needed to sign up for gmail account when got my droid phone - have never used it.  Long since forgot what username and pwd was set up, so have no way of confirming that this call was relevant...   ...or protecting myself from someone changing the pwd.  Did try to call back...   ...was busy.

My comment to Nunya Bsns:  You started out very helpful - But the 'brain in your head' comment?!  Incredibly bad.  If the person you are writing to has a brain in their head, they'll be totally put off by your comment and may still be confused...   ...even smart people get confused.  If they don't have a brain in their head, the comment also means nothing.  In fact, it's a put down that has no positive effect - but does negate any "thank you's" that might have come your way from the information you imparted.  You may want to review my comments to keep from shooting yourself in the foot in your other relationships!
