This number just called or work landline claiming to be a UPS associate with a live animal delivery and demanding cash on delivery. The caller ID reads fart.boner when they call. They are using some type of 3rd party calling system through a static I.p. address since the phone number is not a listed number.

Lady named Sally Carr from IBM/Intangent called from 661.748.0241 and asked for our CFO by name to invite him to a seminar being held in our city in March; sent me an email of the invite.  Called again asking for our head of HR and asked me to forward to that person as well (I'm asst. to both).  It's going in the trash.

Just received a call from these people.  I didn't answer because the number didn't look familiar.  Never left a message.

On your first point, about contacting Skype to report an issue with one of their default numbers' caller. Would there be any constructive result? I searched through the Skype community forum and noticed several posts discussing such occurrences, since 2012, and the only reply from the moderators was a sad smiley and a shrug -- it seems they are doing nothing to discourage the misuse of these numbers or to make this public knowledge through their website or any other means. I agree that we need to be vigilant and actively inform ourselves about possible scams, etc., but if Skype is doing nothing about this situation even though it's been known that the default numbers are commonly used for anything from pranks to scams, for years, then they are actually helping the perps.

Got six calls from this person... concerned because scammers keep trying to contact me every day.

Numerous calls with this number displayed in caller ID.  Wants to "park my car in your garage", "put my hot dog in your taco", etc.  

Municipal police research indicates this number is the default number displayed by a SKYPE user if they open an anonymous account.  It is not one person or scam.  

SKYPE is giving these perverts the ability to harass and scam people with impunity.  SKYPE is also making money for CenuryLink now that I am paying for "services" to try and prevent these types of calls.

This person tried to FaceTime me using email addy: carolcsaggi@gmail.com.

Has been calling for 2 weeks. knew my name and said he was from some company,"couldn't understand him" that was going to fix my PC because an error report was sent to them. Pretty scary!

the call came in on Feb 4th.  I did not know the number so I chose to ignore it.  I'm glad I found this site and I'm glad I ignored it.  The call came in on my cell phone.  I live in Oregon.

they've tried calling me 6 tines today

I got this call multiple times yesterday, on my old phone, I just got a new phone and phone number today and its already calling my new number. How do I stop this? I don't want them to get any info.

This is the exact thing happening to me

I have been getting calls from this number for weeks--all times of day and night.  If I answer they just hangup or laugh or blast loud music.  It is harassment and I want it to stop.  I have no connection to Skype other than several years ago my cousin used to call me from Baja Sur using that system.  I briefly put Skype on my computer but had too many phone calls like this in the first few days so I uninstalled the program.    Since I don't have caller ID I just don't answer the phone, depending on friends and business to leave a voice message--which is not how I want to use my phone system!
