Aye aye captain, only thing is nobody on here is calling you or will the culprit likely see your post. Don't answer unknown numbers in any way. They get an answering machine, expect more calls. Try blocking the call or consider a call blocker. Ignoring them is perhaps easiest.

Just received a call from this # on my cell; didn't answer as I don't know the # plus I was at work... Didn't leave a message or anything...

Hey everyone complaining about the Do Not Call List and saying it doesn't work, you are misunderstanding what the list does and what is happening here.

These people that are calling you are criminals. That's why when you call back, no one is there. The number is spoofed. The DNC can't protect you from that. What it can and does protect you from are calls from legitimate businesses that you don't have a prior relationship with. Ask yourself when was the last time you got a call from a real business you'd never had anything to do with. I'll bet if you're on the DNC, it has been a long time. This call and others like it are from criminals.

I understand you are frustrated, but complaining about the DNC would be like seeing someone speeding and then saying to yourself "well speed limits don't work". Wrong. That speeder is a criminal breaking the law just like these callers.  Put the caller information on here, but understand this has nothing to do with the DNC list.

In fact go further and understand that when you get these calls someone on the other end wants to steal from you. Then understand that without the DNC list these criminals wouldn't stick out like sore thumbs, they'd be lost in the clutter of all the legitimate calls you would be receiving.  Without the DNC list maybe you'd be taken in because you'd be so damn use to receiving cold calls from legitimate businesses.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Thank you for earlier posts identifying this number as a telemarketer. I've blocked the number.

Robo call

Called my cell phone with a recorded message stating they could lower my interest on my credit card to 6%. When I was connected with a real person he tried to tell me about my interest rate on my visa (which one) and that he could lower it. When he asked if I had the credit card to verify I politely told him no and that I wasn't going to give him any other information which resulted in him hanging up on me.

Got three calls w/no message...BLOCKED

My dear friend Rachel again.  I pressed one and a male answered.  I told him I was on hold waiting for Rachel.  He said he could help me.  I said, "No thanks, Rachel called me and I needed to speak to her".  He got rather upset and uttered a few four letter words.  I thanked him for his response but told him I was waiting for Rachel for phone sex, not him.  For some reason he hung up on me.  I wonder why.

These are a bunch of dune [***] trolling for CC info.  Probably to support ISIS.

Credit Card Servies wanting to lower my interest rate. ( I pay my CC bills in full each month).  I pressed one to be taken off.  It took me to an Indian sounding person, I asked them to take me off and he SLAMMED the phone down. They have called me twice today.

I got a call from this number today @ 3:56 p EST. like a dummy I answered it but no one was there.
More and more calls are coming on my cell, thank goodness they are easy enough to block

Called to supposedly lower my rate on my credit card.  The whole time he was phishing. I felt awful so didn't catch right on, gave him my card info and security and expiry date.  Right after that it all clicked.  He should know all details of what he's supposed to be trying to help me with including not card but cards.  It was like a psychic who knew after you gave details and then they elaborated.  I immediately let him know i wasn't comfortable giving any more info or talking to him any more.  He offered all my payment info and transactions.  I refused to talk any longer and hung up on him.  He begged for a chance.  I immediately called my credit card co. Cancelled card and reported them with phone number.  They agreed that it was phishing.  .be careful out there.  Not falling for that again.

Rung my cell and left no message.

For anyone to bypass all my block measures and get to me anyway means they are a quite pervasive and pesky nuisance: A "superbug," if you will. I'm putting SCOOBA MS on my list of places to avoid at all costs, along with that crummy place in "Deliverance," and most parts of AR, FL, TX, etc.
