This # calls our house every day @ different times of the day. The voice caller id we have says "Mental Health" is calling. The recording says they are giving away free alarm systems & will need to "charge the home owner to cut the telephone line" to connect a new system. Our community has been experiencing a lot of home break ins & I can't help but think they are calling to see if anyone's home prior. Just a red flag to us.

The Caller ID only shows this caller as MINTO ND only. This caller keep on calling at all hours of the day or evening repeatedly. This caller never ever leave any message upon my answering machine. And if I try calling back this caller never ever answer my call, and let the phone rings off the hook instead. From my research this caller is a FAKE GE SECURITY SYSTEMS-Telemarketer. The Carrier is: QWEST CORPORATION-ND.  Also I read that it should be spelled MINOT ND, and not MINTO ND. I am only able to block so many of these type of callers at one time. I wish there was some way I could block this type of caller. There's a lot of misunderstanding with the "do not call" list. It only keeps legitimate marketers from contacting you, not the unscrupulous ones. That's why most of them hang up. They're hoping for a live voice, preferably a senior, who they can catch off-guard and spew their nonsense, and maybe even get a credit card payment. I have caller ID and I just don't pick up calls from numbers I don't recognize. And never, ever has one left me a voice-mail! Better federal legislation is desperately needed, but good luck with that. The most you'll ever get is a crappy Sunday news conference by a phony like NY's Sen. Schumer or worst, but nothing will ever happen.

Didn't answer.  And my caller id said neither "minot" or "minto".   :-)   Just a fake company name.

Received a call from 1-701-248-1752 today.  CID was Minto ND.  I gave it the old one ring and hangup as I do with all suspected scammers.  After checking 800 Notes, I blocked the number.

Same here. We seem to get these calls in pairs - probably the same caller spoofing different numbers, and trying again after a few minutes. This time the first one was intercepted by our call blocker, and the second was added by the third ring, thanks to this blog. Great work, y'all. Can't believe these morons can't even spell the city correctly - huge tipoff there.

Actually enjoyed reading everyone's responses and learned Minto is a real town! Unfortunately I too received a call from this number, but I unplugged the phone after having it ring a couple of times.  I receive this Minto or Minot number about this time every year.  Then it disappears.  Still aggravating, but I have others that are more persistent that this one.

guess it was my turn for these a holes to robo call me.  No message left.  I deleted number.  Thank the universe for caller ID.  I never answer an unknown number...just pick up and hang up.

I did not answer this call and they did not leave a msg.  I am always suspect of callers who don't/won't leave msgs.  Caller ID simply said alarm company.  Hell that could be anyone.  Reverse phone # brought me to a company in Minot, ND.  Hey, idiots, why would I order anything from another state that I can get in GA?  It has to be some kind of scam.  Hey idiots, why not stay in Minot?  This # will be blocked and reported.

Received a call from the above telephone number. No message was left. Caller ID said "Minto ND".

Bell System uses all capital letters for Caller ID, so this is not a call that originated from a Bell System network.

Got a call today they left no message. Caller ID says ALARMCO.

Called today; left no message.  That is all I have to say.

'Minto ND.'  The town name is spelled correctly.  It's an interactive, artificial intelligence computer giving information and asking questions.

The message is very deceptive.  They try to sound like they know about a crime wave happening in your very own neighborhood!  They even said something like "(The criminals) are cutting *your* phone lines from the outside..." (...so your burglar alarm and phone will not work).  They actually have no idea what is going on in your area.

This is a pretty clever and simple scam.  They're trying to scare gullible people, especially the elderly, into giving the caller their money for nothing.

Tell me something,is it possible that the Fake ID Caller software from Google Play could show your number on your smartphone telling you that there a break in in your house?

Every time I am away and an hour later, my phone number of my house show up on my smartphone telling me that there a break in or a smoke alarm came on. I will sue the person who live near me and Google Play company for that stupid software, "Fake ID Caller." This will destroy your life and my life! Shame on you for this software! The phone rang to me while I was in the hospital during sleeping hours and at my mother's funeral! You think this is funny FCC? Verizon or NSA or the joker next door?

Received 3 calls today.  Caller ID and answering machines do come in handy.  No msg. was left.

These pain the [***] called today ;03/23 2015 @ 10:35 ,11:31,1:37, and2:27 Pm all in one Frigging day! I never pickup, but I would like to fly out to ND and personally strangle the [***] out of them!!! I've been on the DNC List since 2003. that should tell you how effect that useless network is! The Morons keep calling!!
