- Blasia27Phishing scam. Digital recording phishes for Wells Fargo debit card information. Calls from same scam originate from many other phone numbers.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Maurice replies to DavidDon't know where else to post this, but I got a call on my cell phone
and a "robovoice" telling me that my Wells Fargo Debit card had been
lost and to press "1" for a security fee!! Of course, I'll press 1 for a fee!
I just listened till the phone went dead! The clicker is on my caller ID,
it only said "no name" and the next line showed my cell's 3 digit prefix:
I haven't lost anything, so I am savvy enough to know better, but hopefully
everyone out there will know that they'll NEVER be called by their bank
about things like this, and it is ALWAYS a scam!!!!!!! - Dalego this on my cell phone at 3:30 AM!!!

PLEASE READ BELOW!
FACT 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work! Everyone knows this...or should know this!
FACT 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work! A total and complete waste of time. Done that.
FACT 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
FACT 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list – you’ll get laughed at!
FACT 5 - no "class action" law suits are being filed and certainly, none are being LITIGATED.
FACT 6 – contacting the BBB – LAUGHABLE!!! The BBB is a corrupt organization that sells their ratings to the highest bidder.
*********QUIT BEING FRUSTRATED OVER TELEMARKETER CALLS! ********
*******************QUIT BEING A VICTIM!!! *****************
PLEASE DO THIS! PURCHASE A CALL BLOCKING TELEPHONE!!!
Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset. Very, very convenient.
***********DON'T GET MAD – HIT BACK! ************
STOP BEING ANNOYED
STOP BEING A VICTIM.
STOP COMPLAINING!
BUY A CALL BLOCKING PHONE!
Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones. They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset. COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.
They work beautifully! These phones also block
“PRIVATE,” “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable. I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.
NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS. THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!
We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.
**********NOTHING ELSE WILL STOP THESE TELEMARKETERS! *********- Caller: OUT OF AREA

- SomDon't even entertain such calls, keep a general policy of not receiving a call that you don't recognize the number of and let it go to voicemail. If it's important or if it is legit, they will leave VM. Don't have you info stolen.
- Caller: They said Wells Fargo, though it was not
- meRecieved an electronic generated female voice (the cheap free "voice font" american voice version that comes with windows.)
I could barely make out the message.
I think it said
"Erica, because we registered to many frauds, we regret to inform you that your debit card has been lost. To reactivate it, please press one now, and you will be transfered to our security department"
Obviously English is not the first language of these scammers.- Caller: unidentified
- anonReceived a call as well. Did not provide any details. The call was terminated.

- mydadcallsmev701-509-8703-received a call from this number. Says they are HSBC Card and my card/account was reported as locked. Press 1 to speak to security and unlock my card. Well, funny, I don't bank with HSBC..so I pressed 1 just to scream at the camels and it was another automated system that say to enter my card #..This is how they get you..I swear these turbin heads have nothing else to do than violate our country and harass us.
- mydadcallsmev replies to JETAMESThis only works on home phones. Most of us don't have these anymore. I guess you still live in the dark age where having a home phone is FABULOUS...lol...your so clueless
- FredCrap. Fraud Call.
Some bank I don't even have an account with...- Call type: Prank
- ST| 1 replyWow the recording told me it was my bank... Im surprised that this has gone on for so long according to these posts. Same stuff happened to me. I pressed one then when it said to unlock i hung up because i wouldnt just unlock an account that was hacked without actually speaking to someone from my bank first... These ppl who make these scams are pathetic. Get a real job.

- Fungfake message that try to steal my bank account information.
- Caller: T-Mobile
- nw replies to STI've had this call many times. Recently from "HSBC" (with whom I do not have an account), but before from "my" bank as they never stated what bank the card was with. The account is always either frozen or has been compromised and same as everyone else, they want you to press 1, etc. I'm suprised they have been around for so long!
- Leona SmithReceived this call. The recorded message said that my debit card had been stolen. I hung up before the message was complete. they said they were from my credit union, which is a local credit union. I checked my wallet and found my debit card was still there, but then I wondered if the card had been stolen due to paying a bill over my phone or online. I tried calling the number later and I got a recorded message and said if I do not want to receive promotional calls to press 1. I pressed 1. Now i feel like I should have just hung up.
- Caller: Credit Card Foundation
- AlecJust got a call from them claiming to be from the NCUA (National Credit Union Association) telling me that my debit card had been deactivated. Hmm. Which credit union? Open on Sunday? Scam all the way.
