Got a call on my cell phone, which really aggravates me since I am on the do not call list.  I listened long enough to hear his name was Scott, and he wanted to know if I was struggling with my house payment, like  would tell a random caller if I was.  After I hung up, I was mad I didn't listen to the rest of the message to hear the options...I'm sure there will be a next time.

Got a call - recording said they were a Google service data compilier verifing my business information so that my business website could be found.  Press 1 to be transferred to live operator if you are business owner.  I did.  Eventually someone picked up and said Hello.  When I answered back, they hung up on me!  I HATE TELEMARKETERS!!  Unfortunately with a business phone, I have to answer all numbers.

This is exactly what just happened to me.  I pressed 1 and a female operator came on the line.  She cheerfully asked who she was speaking with and I gave her my first name, then *click* she hung up.

Call about debt.  Get it all the time, used to be from a 480 area code.   I've decided to start having fun with these jerks by pressing one and talking about their mothers, etc.  Grotesque crap.  Maybe ask them why they can't get a real job.   The other day I actually pretended I was really interested, and about 15 minutes into the call I said Oh wait a minute, you're a [***] idiot, and hung up.  If they're going to waste your time, waste theirs so that their stupid call center agents are too busy to take any real calls.

This is a scan that will ask you if you need help with your morgage refinance then when patched thought they ask you  for your social securty number and all your personal information. They call daily even if you are on the do not call list. What i could learn is that these calls originate from Ward, North Dakota. The phone company is Western Wireless and the computer searching revealed it orginates from a Resevation (native american i guess)
How many people are getting their indenty ripped off daily from these people?

Got a phone call from this number and did not answer.  They did not leave a voicemail.  However, within seconds I received a text message from the same exact number saying "PLEASE CALL".

    get a real job
these folks are tele-scammers. They are most likely calling from a spoofed # on the caller ID, so whatever info people are pulling up about them is probably inaccurate. If they are calling a residence they will try to get personal info to do identity theft. If they are calling a business they are trying to get contact names of people who work there, and then they will sell the info to spam mailers so they can put a person's name on the spam mail. Or they will send a fake bill, hoping that the Accounts Payable Dept. will go ahead and pay it if it has a real employee's name on it.

When these idiots call in and ask to talk to my boss, I tell them, "Sure, hang on a second." Then I blow a sports air horn right next to my phone. What are they going to do, sue? "Your Honor, I was illegally calling someone to scam them and they tried to deafen me."  Good luck with that! Get a real job, jerks!

these calls are not covered by the do not call registry as they are considered scammer calls. Start complaining to your congresmen about these calls. Someone has to do something as they are more than tiring. I still put them on the complaint list with the do not call registry in hopes something will be done. The FTC/FCC can't/won't investigate indiv complaints but hopefully if they get enough complaints or if legislators get enough complaint, maybe they will do something,. Fort now, i block the #'s/don't answer my phone anymore and let it go and then do the star 68, get the #/time, etc and report them and block them.

You are right about being a spoofed number. There aren't enough people in North Dakota to man a call center.

However, if someone is injured by your air horn, not only can you be arrested, you can be sued. Your actions have to be a reasonable response; such as hanging up. You can't react with force to a verbal confrontation, especially7 over the phone.

An example would be that you can't shoot someone for speeding in a school zone endangering your children.

I received a call from this same company, if they think it is, about three or four times. The first time, I answered it thinking it was from one of family members because I didn't look at the id caller. Since then, I've been getting calls from them. I txt them do not call me now or ever.I should just have some fun with them and ask them about their families too, like the I ones I see posted. Yes, they are from a company wanting to know if you have a debt problem. As soon as I hear Debt, I hang up and don't let them finish what they want to say. Please someone do something to stop these people. They are wasting my time and using my minutes to say the least.

I answered once and all it was was a recording. How do you tell a recording not to call again? Then they left a message stating I had contacted them regarding my mortgage. I don't have a mortgage. Seriously, how do you get them to stop?
