You may be interested in reading a news release this office issued in May 2010, warning about scam telephone calls using spoofed North Dakota (701 area code) telephone numbers, at http://www.ag.nd.gov/NewsReleases/2010/05-25-10A.pdf. Since then, we have received reports from across the country of other scams using spoofed ND phone numbers.

Been getting calls from this number for 3 months, I answered the first time and when they started talking I knew it was not for me so I hung up.  Heavy accent, asking to provide mortgage assistance, I now have a list of 3 area codes I just don't answer..949, 701 and 707.  My cell is a business line, so I do not know how they got it.  This sucks if we can't get this harrasment to stop, at least 2 a day.

These baboons have finally been caught in the act!!!

I played along with this idiot today and got the goods on the company behind all of these ROBO-CALLS for mortgage modification, tax debt relief, car payment reduction, credit card debt relief and the security system scams.

These guys spoof (fake) the numbers that show up on your caller ID systems to keep you from being able to find them – I finally got one to play along with me until they thought I was hooked, then they gave me all kinds of info to try and get me to sign up and use their mortgage mod service.

The first time they called today, they played a message for car payment reduction – the second time that they called – from the same number (406-219-2617 – using that same lame a$$ recorded message that they always do…) – they played a message for mortgage modification.  I can play that game blindfolded – I’m a REALTOR.

So now these baboons are BUSTED upside the head!

Got cranked by these goons?   Call them and tell them how it feels!   Really sick of this?  File a complaint with the FTC at ftc.gov and be sure to give ‘em the REAL 411 on these baboons!
