[***] just called me and I answered the unfamiliar number because I was expecting a call from my out-of-town cousin.  (the area code was 2 digits off) Yeah, they wanted to tell me of a program to lower my interest rate on my credit card.  Since I answered, and was already registering as a "live" number, I pressed 1 to speak to someone.  A heavily accented woman answered and when I said I was on the Do Not Call list, she hung up on me!!  Needless to say, I'm off to report these _)@$*&%*s now.....

Received a robo call on my cell phone from 702-705-5278.  My # is on the do not call registry; also, robo calls are illegal in Washington state.  Filed a complaint with state attorney general.  We'll see if anything happens.

I have been receiving numerous calls from these people on my land line. I let the answering machine take care of the call. This have slow them  down. Don,t call that often now. Now they are calling my cell phone. I don't answer to any number I don't recognize. Here is a list of numbers they are using: (same recording)

Yes, these are scammers ( they've been running the same stupid scam for over 5 years using many, many spoofed numbers). They are also quite possible known to be connected with several other well known and incessant scams as well (home security system/Tom of Home Protection), that phoney survey and cruise scam (actually a time share scam), the phoney loan modification scam ("your equity is upside down" ... when it is not) and quite possibly others. I have noticed a good many times they have each used the same spoofed numbers (as well as area codes, all around the same time frame). And, yes, on each one of these they always ask for credit card number, which no one should ever give out over the from ... especially if the caller is someone or a business you don't know!

And yes, it's an attempt to get our info to either rob us blind once they have it to possible identity theft. Which from seeing all the mirad of complaints all over the web, all the blog posts and articles, FRC reports ... it's an attempt obviously, and pretty much a failed one.

What can I say, those behind this scam must truly be a bunch of moron's!

They called me twice today and after I answered they hung up, landline. I called them back on my cell phone and said press 2 to be removed. LOL  Then I called them back on my landline and the fools picked up. I asked what company was it and she said something that didn't make sense. I could hear other voices in the background.  I asked why they called and hang up and she said they were trying to fix that. I told them that I was on the no call list and to stop calling me. "She said ok and I asked don't you want to know the number and she said  What...... I sent the number to my Attoney General of OK and filed a complaint.

This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.
