Its nco financial called me from 410-202-0069==800-260-5570==703-656-9956==804-234-9068==609-373-1904==240-210-7142  about 3 to 7 times a day for six weeks. When  I answer they hang up, or go to a recording. Actually spoke to them some times and asked them for information about the said account. Since I did not know the address or social they would hang up on me. NCO called actually called me and told me thay are removing my number from their list since I am not the person they are looking for and my number will be removed in 24 hours. Its been a week and they have not called me. Since I am not who they were looking for I fiquired might as well try to get info from them about the indivitual they are looking for. Im guessing they realized if I am trying to get information about the indivitual they are looking for I must really not be that person.

It's NCO Financial.....I called them back and that's how they answered the phone.

You must go back to National Do not Call Registry and re-register.  Then report all the numbers 240-210-7142, 703-656-9956, & 410-202-0069.  I called each of these numbers and told these A.H's to take me off their call lists.  They have been reported to the FTC.  We will see what happens.

Calls two times a day but no one is there and no message is left.  This has been happening  for months and i'm getting tired of it.  Filed a complaint with the State's Atourney General but the calls keep comming!

Started getting these crazy calls about two weeks ago.  Never had their credit card and never will.  No one is on the phone when they call or I would rip them a new one.  I did register my number today.  The National Do Not Call registry  said it would take 31 days before the number would be listed.  NOOOOO another 31 days of this :(

They called again today.  They call all the time. Always on my cell phone.

Different people here say it is Capital One or NCO financial, but I don't know.  they never leave a message which I think is highly UNprofessional!

Any legitimate company would leave a message and know who the heck they are calling.  If you are not that person, they should stop calling you immediately.  That is what a LEGITIMATE company would do.

If this is Capital One, they should spend less money on their TV ads and more money on clearing up this intrusive, irresponsible and annoying calling.  

However, I don't think it is them.  I think it is another scammer company because they won't stop calling.

I have put them in my cell phone contact list as "scammer" so I know never to answer the call.  I have about 5 numbers I have marked like that.

I know none of these calls are for me.  I don't owe anyone any money and when I use my credit cards, I pay them off in full each month.  I have excellent credit.  In the early days, I did answer these calls to find out what this was about and try to get it resolved.  

Obviously, these people do not care about that and just want to harrass people.

This is quite interesting. All the numbers you've listed in your post are continually calling my home. I don't answer because I don't know who it is. These numbers start to call early morning and throughout the day until late evening. The final calls are usually just before 9 p.m. eastern time. The locations that pop up on caller id are from Virginia and Colorado in particular. These companies never leave any messages. Thanks for suggesting the registry. I registered a few months but apparently it's not working.

We've been getting calls from this number multiple times daily all week, to my cell phone, my wife's cell phone, and our home phone which we almost never use or give out to anyone.  Last night, my wife answered and the person on the other line asked her to confirm all sorts of information.... They told her they were from capital one, but the card they asked us to confirm (last 4 digits) was for another card we hold that is Chase, not Cap One.  She told them she was calling the Cap One 800 number and hung up.

Today, I answered a call from them, and they asked my name.  Since it was broken english and I didn't feel like asking them to repeat, I used that as an excuse to say "no" and bailed on the call.

We're running credit reports over the next couple days to see whether these guys or anyone else has tried to open credit in our name.  Do *not* answer their questions; that is likely what will happen.  Interestingly, my wife did give them an updated phone number (I told her afterward that was a bad idea), and she got an e-mail apparently from Capital One indicating that they had updated our number.  I'm going to look at the SMTP headers on the original message to night to see where that actually came from.

Incidentally, this happened a couple months ago as well, where the caller told us we were two months delinquent on our Cap One card.  She immediately called Cap One, who said we were current, and issued new cards.  Also, they card they asked us to verify last night had a $0.00 balance as of three days ago.

This number keeps calling.  I answer the phone and there's no one there.  I've stayed on for over a minute and no one speaks.  They call up to five times a day.  I heard they are capital one.  No one in my house has a capital one card.

Same crap, collection agency of some sort, I'm on a do not call list. Try this, first state one moment please, then enter some random key strokes if you have a touch tone phone, doesn't everyone? Now say, "OK You are now connected to my 900 number, its 19.95 per minute, speak your peace!  You won't get any more calls from them !  Dumb Heads ! Most likely someone had your phone number previously and owes funds to someone else OR someone just gave your number as theirs. Computers do not dial numbers other than as programmed.  Have a great day!  Oh and if that doesn't work try saying something along the lines of , "Hey I'm really sorry I didn't know (he or she) was married, I don't usually do that sort of thing with someone I just met, I won't take them to the Holiday Inn anymore and I won't call them either! You just gotta rull with the BS calls and don't be a victim of crank calls.

I started getting calls from this number today 703-656-9956, a few days ago from 1-210-280-8096. I say if you got something to say just say it or stop calling, at least ask for who you're looking for.

4 rings everytime. Never leave any messages. I dont own any credit cards. Get a life Capital One!

They have called for about 4-5 weeks all throughout the day...they never leave messages...they are pissing me off.

The same numbers are calling my phone as well.  My cell phone provider will not block these phone numbers.  These guys are dicks!

This week was a week of telemarketers coming out of training or something.
I have received a call from NCO, Doorway to Destiny, 800 Service, Manassass, VA, Boulder, CO, Chattanooga, TN, a 1-000-000-0000 number, a 1-715-000-0000.  Who has numbers like that?

Who are these people?

Same old Shix, They call and when you answer your get a phone ringing then an "All of our Agents are busy, please hold for the next available...etc.  Why don't you hold this you sorry [***] ! If I ever get to where their office is in Virginia, I sure hope I don't fall in their building and have to sue their sorry [***] [***]. There is a law, but no one does anything! Maybe I will. Typing comments just ain't getting it any more.
