Calls from various numbers - Saying some promotional is about to expire and to contact them by hitting option 1.

If you ask them to remove you from list - they hang up on you.

So I call and ask questions and pretend to be buying into the scam.   After a couple of minutes - I say hang on - let me check an invoice ....and lay my phone down and go get a cup of coffee or something.

Jerks - all of them.  Call my work phone - night and day.   My work phone has to be answered as I get Regulatory calls on spills and ChemTrec emergency in my chemical business responsibilities.

Wish I could nail these bums.   We should all try to tie up their time ...can be fun.   Let play games just like Milton Bradley.

Another cold call to my cell.  I've learned not to answer it and just ignore it.  More than likely it was the card services scam.

I was getting them two to three times a day from all over the US, I tried being nice to no avail. Called my service provider for help and they could do nothing. Listed tons of numbers on the "do not call list" and that didn't work, so I found a whistle one of my grandkids had. Every call I waited until someone came on the line, spoke to them as if interested and then would blow the crap out of the whistle. The calls stopped for several months, maybe more. However, I guess they are trying again in case my number has been given to someone else, so it's time to pull out the whistle again!!! If you try this remember to put in earplugs!! Might sound childish, but once in a while you have to get on someone elses level and it worked.....

On cell phone. Didn't answer. Left no message. Obvious scam

It's called robocalling.  It matters not that you don't give out your number.

No message. Not a working number.
