says municipal call or hangs up

I got a letter from them in the mail saying I owed 144.12 for ambulance in aurora, il, december 29, 2003, we have lived in phoenix, az since march, 2003.  the lady was quite insistant that my husband was in aurora on that day and used an ambulance.  my husband is pretty much bed ridden and was in the hospital in phoenix until 12/25/2003.  tried to get a supervisor and she hung up on me when I called, called back left a message and no reply.

Got a call from 708-455-4046 asking to speak to "Melissa". (There is no one by that name that resides here.) She then asked if I would "take a message". I asked, "for whom?" and she said, "Oh, I didn't hear you, I guess it wouldn't make any sense to ask to leave a message if there is no Melissa there." (No kidding,unless she was trying to see if I was lying???) Anyway, I'm guessing they might be a debt collection agency? They seem to call every couple months. Very annoying. Don't know how to stop it since I've told them over and over again that no one by that name resides here.

yeap, it's a debt collection agency.  They call me every couple of days.  When I call back they are rude and hung-up on me.

When answering the phone with caller ID RMI MCSI 708-455-4046 it was an automated service requesting to "please call 708-455-4046 regarding an urgent business matter." When I returned the call the operator hung up on me when I said I was returning the call, and inquired as to reason for call.

I received a call from a woman who identified herself as Joanna. When I asked what it was about(I didn't identify myself), she said that, "It's a business matter regarding the Village of Addison", and couldn't give more information due to privacy laws.

I recieved a call today from a lady from that phone number asking for my husband.  She was unwilling to tell me what she was calling for.  I told her i was the wife and she claimed there as a "law" that kept her from discussing his account.

They refuse to send a bill, or any info thats in writting they want payment over the phone only...  NOT

Receive a call about every other day.  Just a recording that's all I get.   If they can not have a live person on the phone when I answer the call the HELL with them.

I got four(4) calls tonight from them but answered none because there is something stupid going on
with them. They ask for a person who is out-of-town for some time and ask me as caretaker to tell him to call this number because a town office close from her has a problem with something. The area code they called from and ask the person on return to call back does not have a prefix 708 if they are the township office next over from here. There is a good friend working in that township office and this person checked all
records in that township as this person has access to it. So, there are bluffing but also rude, not sounding very educated to hold any other job but a debit  collector of some kind.
They try to collect long outstanding debts bought a very low amount of the debt, probably 10 cent to the dollar and try then to make more out of it, all profit. Recently somebody else called and when I was told it was $20.xx something, they could not tell me for what, when, where and if they ever mailed any request, reminder for it. It is cold calling for $$$ and really stupid and should be out-lawed because many people must be falling for it because otherwise they would not be in this business.

There was another case where my friend told me, he left the doctor office because service was poor and the billing was inflated, like Social Security fraud, where it was billed as a complete foot consultation but all he needed was a toe nail had grown over the old one because other major surgery on the leg, he had removed moved of the toe nail himself but one part was still attached and he did not want to remove it himself because of the danger of massive bleeding(cumadin) and the danger of infection. The doctor used less than 2-3 minutes for it but charged Soc. Security over $250.  Gosh, I personally my dentist and he cleans my teeth every 4-6 month and it takes much longer but charges less than $80 for all, plus I get toothbrush and a small trial-tube of tooth paste as well.

What is going on but with no real jobs around people have to accept jobs like this for a living!

States on voice mail that they are a 'municipal collection agency' regarding a municipal violation' and that I need to return the call.

Never sends anything in writing, I don't believe that they know who they are calling.

just got a call....asked for the person...I asked who are you....gave his name....he asked again for the person....I said they are not here....he asked when is a good time to call......I said they don't live here....If they call me again.....I will repeat myself and inform them if they call my home again I will not only report them but also personally [***] them up because I know where they are.......

you can find any person, place or thing.....you just have to know where to look......

Just got a call from 708 455 4046  The recorded message says it was a red light camera violation.  Gave me times to return the call.  As far as I know, red light camera violations are sent by mail Needless to say I didn't answer the call.

I received 2 calls from 708 455 4046.  They claim I took a ambulance from my house 7 years ago and I owe 160 dollars.  I explain to her I have never taken an ambulance from my home.  She then asked about a member of my family and did I know them.  I told her what has that to do with what she claim she was calling me about.  She got nasty and told me she'll just send me a bill to refresh my old memory and hung up.

I started getting a call from this number yesterday, and they called again this morning!

The phone that I have allows me to Block 20 numbers...it is always full from all this bullcrap, so I have to delete one to add another.....Very, Very, Annoying!!!!

Received a call from them yesterday on a supposed "red light violation," which in this state has NOT been passed by legislation. Thanks for everyone's input. Sounds like a scam & though it may not help, I'll notify my local police department for a heads up.

I have been receiving calls from this number for a couple of weeks now.  They are asking for a "Brenda Romo" who is clearly not me.  One of the voicemails stated that it was for an ambulance ride - I've never been transported in an ambulance in my life!   I called them back once last week since the calls would not stop, and I told them to please stop calling because I am not Brenda Romo.  I was told the calls would stop, and here we are again today with another call.  This is really annoying since they are calling my cell, and stupid calls like this eat up my minutes.  I've got these clowns and another group from a different number calling me, and it is highly annoying.  It is one thing to not pay your bills and have to field these calls, but I thought a perk of being current was not getting harassed by creditors!

I keep getting a call from this number  708 455 4046.  When I ask what it's about they say It's from the Village of Worth but won't give me any information.  So I told them this is not the person's phone if you have so much information on them you should have their number than!  Nimrods. They need to stop calling my phone.

We've been getting calls from 708-455-4046  which comes up as MCOA on the caller id.  It's always just a recorded message that says they are calling about a municipal violation in the Chicago area.  Well, we don't live anywhere near the Chicago area municipality.  It sounds like a phishing scam just from the message.  If it was a legitimate bill then why have I never received anything in the mail to verify such debt/ violation.  As a rule, you should never give your information to anyone that calls you, you can't verify who they are so they don't need any more of your information.
