Got a call saying I owed $270 for a red light ticket.  I asked for proof, they send me a Gatso citation that confirmed my vehicle ran a red light.  Turns out my son was driving and he stupidly grabbed the original notices from the mail and threw them away thinking nobody would find out.  I have never had to deal with a collection agency before, but these people were professional and provided me with the proof I needed to fix the problem my son created.  I was able to take care of the problem before it affected my credit.

Some man called and asked for 'Melissa Shroeder'. I told him there was no one here by that name. "No?" he asked in a sarcastic. "Do you know her?" I said I'd never heard of anyone by that name. "Well, you're no help to me at all, are you?" he said. He then hung up.

This was a legitimate call from Municipal Collections. I was called in regards to a sewer bill I'd forgotten to pay. Jennifer had all the pertinent information, took my payment, provided me with a confirmation number as well as her last name.

I never entertain these scum bags, I hang up and block them.

They called today - said to hit 1 if I would like to talk to someone - recording said that they were trying to collect a debt (I have none) - clicked 1 - and the line went dead. Called them back - said that they were looking for a Jade Harris - I said that there was no one here by that name - said that they would update the information saying that it was a wrong number.

We receive approximately 4-5 calls a week from this number.  Each voice mail states that they are calling from the MCOA regarding a municipal violation, but they never state who they're calling for.  Such a scam.  They didn't even leave a name of whom they were trying to reach and our VM message is just the automated one that states our number is not available to take the phone call.

SCAM....don't call them back.  They state they are calling in regards to a municipal code violation.  We don't live in a municipality.  Then, I checked on-line and saw the notes from other people.  

These people keep calling my phone saying I am on a ticket boot list in Lansing Il. I asked for a statement to be mailed out to my house out lining this and they refuse to send me any documentation showing this. They also won't set up a payment plan only based on what they want and how they want the money. So I am not sure if they are legit or not but the customer service skills are horrible. They are RUDE and very Ignorant when calling.

I just got a call from this number...I answered the phone and they asked for a person by name....I recognized the last name, so I said just a moment...and gave the phone to my husband. It turned out they were looking for my husband's ex- brother in law. So I do believe it's a real call, it's a collection company!

Yeah ok, sure thing "c". Good luck with your scams, you waste of a life.

My wife got two messages on her cellphone from "MCOA."  Both messages were for a woman who we don't know.  The second caller was rude and he  accused my wife of disguising her name on her recorded greeting.  If they had been nice we would have called back but since they were nasty we just ignored the messages.  

they keep calling looking for my ex-husband of 12 years.  I have told them time and time again I have no idea where he is or how to get a hold of him and to stop call my number but they keep calling......

Very suspicious call when I call it hangs up on me...

I got a few voicemails from 708-455-4046.  They are looking for my brother in law, who does not live with us.  They are calling the wrong house.  The message says they have an important business matter for him and to return the call to MCOA. (Municipal Collections Of America).  I have not personally spoke to them,  just with they would stop calling my home.

Received a call from this number telling me to call them back concerning a running a red light violation caught on camera, with no info or details. I noticed the telephone number is a Chicago Suburban area code and knew immediately it was a scam, as we have lived in Nevada for the last 18 years.

Received a voice mail today from a guy named Mr. Brown who addressed me by name stating he was from MCOA, calling on behalf of my local police department and that I needed to call back asap to either 708-455-4046 or 877-751-7115. I called back the the 455 # since this was the number they called from. A lady answered, knew my name without asking for any information confirming who I was. Told me there are infractions against me from my police department in the amount of $156. I told her I told her I could not pay right now, she asked when I could, I told her at the end of the week. She asked how much, and I told her 30. She said I would have to pay 50 then must pay the rest by march 1st. Then she wanted me to give her my credit card info now so she could post date the payment. I told her I was not going to give her that over the phone and that I would like to send it to her via money order. She said no, must pay with credit/debit card or bank acct. She gave me a website to pay on. (Rmi.solvemydebt.com) she gave me an acct # and pw. I went to website. Looks like a scam. No info about the company at all. I logged in with info that she gave me, and all it was was a site asking for payment. Nothing else to click on. No info on company or about my "debts". If they call back, I will ask them to send records of debt via mail.

Ask to call. When I called back they seem suspicious.

Red light camera violation..please call 9 to 530...problem.. I havent driven in  4 mos. Surgeries. Please catch them get a call every 3 or 4 days.. misrepresenting themselves as a municipality. .

The problem with this is I read they can hit your credit score which once done can take forever to fix. Don't think they need a lawyer for that.
