Ignore them.  Real process servers do not tell you in advance that they are coming to serve you.  Block the calls.  If there is a valid debt then they must send you a letter specifying the debt and it must be sent by US mail.  E. Mail no good.  These are essentially debt scammers.  They are trying to scare you.

These people violate the FDCPA.  They leave an open message on a line that is clearly not the number of the person they are trying to collect from.  They also implied a complaint had been filed, did not give the Miranda Warning or even Mini Miranda and the message was in no way clear and simple.  I work for a collection law firm and FDCPA training is an annual event.  I do not oppose collecting justly owed debt, however, everyone in the industry has to follow the same rules.  They made a grave error calling my cell phone and leaving that type of message for a man I do not even know.

Follow Tamianth's notes!  You should also get a call blocker and do not pick up on numbers you do not recongize.

Rec'd a call at work asking for me with my maiden name from a restricted number at work.  Only worked here 2 years and been married over 10, how do they know to call me at work.  I put her on hold a while and hung up.  She called back I hung up.  Called again and asked what it was in regards to and who she was.  She started yelling at me what kind of business was this we were running and going off on a rant, so guess what I hung up on her again.  I hung up on her 3 more times till my boss answered.  She said I was rude and kept hanging up on her.  He told her stop calling and harassing and if it's a personal matter then call on their personal phones.  She called again 2 more times and hung up when he answered the phone.  The third time she asked for the owner and he said speaking and she hung up.

About 20 minutes later the company called with the number above coming up as WFG Assoc.  I told them that the person with that name doesn't work here since they used my maiden name.  She said oh she doesn't and I hung up.  They called back and my boss told her the same thing.  They she says oh well she may go by another name and used my maiden name.  He took a message stating he knew me. Message contained a number, extension and a case number.

When my husband called from his blocked number it is Ms Garcia from Western Financial Group and Associates.  I don't plan on calling them back after reading all of these posts.

This very nice girl called saying she was a third party delivery service and she had a package containing legal documents to deliver.  I said I didn't know what she was talking about and she said typically I should have received a call to explain.  She said they had attempted to deliver a package but no one has been home.  I asked how she got my number and she said they are a third party delivery but I could call 855-882-6831 and they would explain.  While I was talking to her I searched WFG and all reports stated to beware.  I let her know this was a scam and I felt bad for her having this type of job, I hope they pay her well.  They have someone call you and threaten legal papers so you will call them back.  Don't fall for this!

This is a extortion scam operation simply said. You will never get a real verifiable address for a fictional outfit.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

One important thing to remember if these losers have any of your personal information such as your social security number, date of birth or drivers license make sure you register with identity protection notify the credit agencies as well as your banks!!

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Stop buying credit reports dipsht and trying to collect on debts that don't exist. Your hussle is weak and your scare tactics are pathetic. You have the bottom of the barrel occupation that has no benefit unless you actually collect on a victim. Its not even your debt [***]. It is write off that you try to collect on. Major corporations don't contract to a hack debt collection agency. Their CFO authorizes chosen debt to be written off for the tax credit. Then you scumbag wannabes scamble to purchase reports and collect on it. So funny maybe if you stayed in school you would realize how stupid you sound. Charge off hahahahaha

i do not even work for this company but ive been a collector for 10 years. People really need to get a grip. You do not realize the resources we have as bill collectors in order to find consumers or debtors who choose not,or simply can not pay their bills. The database we used a USA company that is licensed, and we pay to have access to the information we receive. You think we just sit behind a desk and call numbers but we actually have to work in order to find people who do not respond to the mailings nor phone calls left. Its ridiculous that companies have to revert to threats in order to get people to pay a bill they know they owe. If the debt is sold, thats only due to your delinquency, which in a business decision you would get rid of things that are losing money or not making you money. Obama has allowed Americans to literally steal from our economy w/o any consequences and as a Americans we need to stop making excuses. The longer you take to pay your bill the more companies will have access to ALL YOUR INFORMATION..FROM YOUR RELAITVES TO ASSOCIATES TO YOUR FRIENDS..YOUR JOB..EMAIL..ETC...THE BEST THING TO DO IS REQUEST DOCS FROM THE COMPANY VIA MAIL OR EMAIL..ID THE DEBT PAY IT...REQUEST PAID LETTER..AND MOVE ON..FIGHTING US..ONLY COST YOU MORE MONEY IN THE END.GOD BLESS..AND I UNDERSTAND EVERYONES COMPLAINTS AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS.
