Call ID reads "Orange, CA".  Did not leave a message

I received a call from the number, I called it back. The recording that came on was from the DNC (Democratic National Committee) for a national survey.

I highly believe what you should do is call your operator first, telling them the whole phone number in your caller id. The reason I say this is because its a 'spoofed' number as I understand!! This means what is showing up in your caller id is NOT the REAL #! I would get that REAL # from the operator and keep calling and harassing this idiot!! PLEASE, pass it along to others what the REAL # is... THANK YOU!! Tired of being harrassed so much I suggest you report them to your local police, once you get the real # and have harassed them a lot too!! Your choice, if you harass them, but 'in my humble opinion' you should get others to harass them every 1/2 hr. 1 hr and so on...they REALLY deserve it!!

They keep calling. Just spoke to them and told them never to call again. After the warning they indeed called again. They claim to conduct surveys.

She took a while to connect, so I assumed it was a telemarketer.  Woman with thick accent wanted me to answer questions regarding a survey.  I couldn't make out what company she was with.  I told her I didn't want to participate and wanted to be taken off her call list.  She then tried to tell me that I would need to answer 10 questions to be taken off the call list.  PLEASE!  I told her no one has to answer 10 questions for that.  I hung up and then called the operator to have the number blocked.

This is a company called Datascension.  When you call the number, it gives you an e-mail address to request that they remove your number.  The voicemail states that your number will be removed within 24 houtrs.  The e-mail address is dnc@datascension.com. I visited their website and they state that they are exempt from the "DO not call list".  I e-mailed a request to be removed within 24 hours, as the voicemail states.  If not removed I will them file a complaint with the FCC as I have the e-mail.

I checked, market research companies are actually legally exempt from the Do Not Call list. However, if your state has "Hours of Peace" during which they cannot call you and they call during these times, you can file a complaint with your state authorities.

Caller ID indicates Orange, CA called today in the morning and again at 8:06 pm.

Never leaves message.  Whatever happend to the "DO NOT CALL" registry I thought it supposedly will stop this kinds of call?????

A mighty slap on the government that cannot even protect it's citizens from abuses like these.

Out of state call, however left me a message.  Said it was a reminder that I need to take my car in for an 18,000 mile dealer warranty service.  Had my name correct and my car year and make.  Told me to call the dealer I bought my car from and had the correct name for the dealer.  Gave a number to call to arrange my warranty checkup and it was the correct phone number for my dealer.  For me the call was on the up and up.

Just got a call from this number and they asked if this household had a young 16 year old boy to work as a helper in a restaurant.  Very, very creepy!

It showed two numbers on the id caller:

714-551-5502AA and 714-551-5502

I think it is spoofed too....

Putting it in various reverse searches turns up nothing.

You usually at least get a certain city or metro area from the AC and prefix.

i've just gone to their website www.datascension.com and have them remove me from their call list.  They're annoying!  they called about 4 times in 2 minutes!  As soon as the lady was talking (surveyor as she stated), i told her not to call back or i would report her, but she hanged up right away.

they called about 4 times in a lapse of 2 minutes, missed 1st call, 2 next calls no one seemed to answer at the other end of the phone and 4rd time a lady with a thick accent went on and stated about some type of survey??? I told  her not to call back but before i finished she hanged up on me...

Just received a call from this phone number.  They called earlier and didn't leave a message.  When they called back it was this guy who wanted to know how many movies I've seen at the theatre in the past month.  That was all.  Hopefully now they won't call again since I answered their questions.

Lady said MRS, hung up.

Was at my computer when this person called, didn't recognize the area code, so I quickly googled the AC before answering.  The second I answered, the other line disconnected or hung up.  This site turned up in the google search, so out of curiosity, i looked up the number here.  Strange that others are having issues with this number.
