they tell you when it is a spoofed
if it was legit they would leave a message or use a real not spoofed #
spoofed #'s are used specially to thwart reports to the FTC to track them
they switch #'s or change them frequently to avoid being caught

7 calls over last month on dnc lst
never leaves a message and i refuse to answer these calls as theywill not stop even if you tell them to
6 calls said BofA and 1 unknown
but they use multiple #'s so who really knows how many times they call on their spoofed #'s
never did any kind of business with them
keep reporting them to FTC to no avail
the dnc list is just a joke- another useless government department that somehow the taxpayers finance and then do not get any resolution from the promised agency
will not opt out on their website as it requires personal info and will not call them to opt out either as they will just change their #
be aware when you check your credit score buried in the fine print it says they will sell the info to 3rd parties unless you opt out
this practice in itself should be illegal as an invasion of privacy and violation of the dnc list

Check out #800-572-5848 on this site for more on National Union Fire Insurance.  It's sick how these people think of those of us getting called and the nasty stuff they post on here under that number.  I really doubt that anybody would want the people at that place of so-call business having any of your personal information, esp. banking info.  Better to report this number then answer it.  Thanks to everyone that posted, the more those of us getting the calls know, the better.

i have reported all these calls to the fcc dnc registry but this is annoying boarding on harassing when they call every day except sunday at all different times just to see if you answer

i received a call from a female from this number (714-551-5579) today stating they were calling from bank of america. so i ran a google search & noticed others received calls from the same number. i thought someone might have been using the "spoofcard". they should not allow those things.

Bank of America calling about Privacy Assist.  Pay money and we'll have our crooks watch your credit report.  :)

this number is calling frequently in the evening, Unknown caller showing on caller ID.  When answered, there is no one there.

These are calls from Bank of America & it's legitimate (but sleazy) insurance product partners.

There's a BOA privacy website you can access to opt out of these telemarketing calls: www.bankofamerica.com/privacy/ Under the Set Your Privacy Preferences heading, click on Set Your Preferences and follow their directions.

You can also CALL their privacy line at 1-888-341-5000, which is what I did. There's a 2-step process to stop these calls. 1-They'll opt your phone number out of any BOA marketing. 2-Then they'll connect you with their insurance products number: you enter your phone number and it automatically opts you out of their insurance partner marketing. They assured me that there were no other partner marketing numbers to opt out of, so these two should do it.

FYI:BOA explained the reason why no one is on the line with so many of these telemarketing calls: it's an automatic dialer. If a sales rep happens to have an open line when your number is called, they're connected with you. If there's no available rep at that time, you get the click and the hang-up experience, and your number is recycled in their system to dial again later.

ID says BK America instead of Bank of.   before 10 am here.    Changing number after today, tired of screening scams. Already notified official  BOA.

Bank of America Insurance Services calls from this number even after I officially opted out. Will not leave a message if I don't answer. Going to close my bank account with them just to pay them back, why should they make interest on the cash they hold in my account and continue to annoy me fishing for more money -buy our Insurance or we won't go away.

I have been harassed by stalker so It was my stalker who's been calling me at home and at work.  Every day I received call with different number.  The stalker leaves messages and then hang up the phone.

I receive a call from this number everyday, sometimes multiples for several weeks.  They ask for my husband when I say he's not here they either hang up or they ask when would be a good time to call back.  When I tell them my name is also on our account and ask what is the problem they tell me they can only talk to my husband. This is a privacy call and we can only talk to him.  Today they called again and when they asked for my husband I asked to speak with the manager on duty.  She then told me that the manager will tell me the same thing, she also laughed at me.  The manager came on the line and told me that it is a call about identity theft and private and they will call me some other time that this call is for him.  After explaining all my calls she offered to put me on a do not call list and that we won't get any calls from them again.  She made it sound like a threat.  LOL I will enjoy the peace and quiet.  I can't block the calls but I can have it not ring when they call.   I feel like I'm being harassed for lack of payment.  I've never missed a payment or been late.

How did you cancel because i accepted this and I WANT OUT! =(
