- Ms. Christine ThomasHello everyone,
My name is Ms. Christine Thomas, and I am the head of collections for Zimmerman, Young, and Associates. Some of you probably have had phone calls from me. Rest assured, you will hear from me many more times in the coming months! I can be reached at 8664108063, extension 111.
I am so happy that Jim Greene, our office manager here, posted such valuable information for all of you. I do want to say that Jim gave out one incorrect fact.
Most of us here have meth habits, not coke habits.
Thank you for your time and attention,
Ms. Thomas

- Jennifer Wagner - Legal AssistantHello to all!
Since we are having a company meeting right now, we have decided that all of us are going to share some information about ourselves, and our employer Zimmerman, Young, and Associates in New York. We are very interested with building trust with those we call and harass. We know that if you feel that trust, you will GIVE US YOUR MONEY!
I am a single mother of 13 children, ranging in age from 1 to 15. I can only remember some of their names, because all of them have been taken away by child Protective Services. I still have the 1 year old because I keep her locked in a closet. Don't worry - while I'm working the guinea pg keeps an eye on her!
In order to stop having sex for $15 bucks a pop to support my meth addiction, I am really trying to make this job work. So when I call you, threatening you will all kinds of lies and bull-s**t, please just give me your credit card information and stop jerking me around! This god damn herpes medication is costing me a fortune!
Looking forward to our phone conversations, and remember, we threaten everyone, it's not just you! We care enough to treat everyone the same! Oh, and give us all your money!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Wagner

- John Preston - Legal CounselGood morning to you people,
At the meeting we just got dun, me and the staff here at Zimmerman, Young, and Associates decided to post some nice things, because this site has a lot of mean things about us. Swear words and stuff. Dennis, one of our staff, has posted some things in the last year as "Concerned", but that idiot needs to stay off the damn cap locks key! He looks crazy when he write stuff like that, and one big paragraph. I been working with him on that! Jesus Christ - we're f-ing professionals!
OK so, yeah we want your money. And yeah, you don't really owe it to anyone, but I been thinking that the best thing is for you to just pay us anyway, OK? Big Eddie said that maybe you don't want to be in the Jimmy Hoffa club. You know what I mean? I'm not threatening anything. Just sayin.
So, you wanna know something about me? I been with this racket for 15 years. It was the best gig around after those a** clowns finally let me out of prison. I been working with the same gang, and we are proud to say that we start a new company about every 18 months. Taxes would be tricky if we ever paid em right?
I got a wife in Jersey, a girl in the Hamptons, and my favorite hooker's name is Precious Moments. I got a lot of furs and jewelry to buy, to keep all these dames happy and not asking too many questions. When I call you, or one of my business associates calls you, quit f-ing around, and just give us the money! I got bills to pay, see?
II'll be talkin to ya soon - have a good sleep - with the fishes! Just sayin.
Sincerely,
John Preston

- Engelbert Zimmerman, CEO| 1 replyHey everyone,
I am also going to post something about my great corporation, Zimmerman, Young, and Associates. I am the CEO and I have a really, really big office. There is a huge desk in there, where I can sit and listen to all the calls my associates are making.
You know, I train everyone myself - quality is important to me. It takes a special touch to yell, threaten a bunch of b***s***, pretend to put people on hold, "drop" calls, talk in different voices and use fake accents, and extort money. I searched those gutters myself to find the people who come to work here everyday, 14 hours a day with no lunch breaks.
Guess why I can't even afford to offer them breaks, much less health insurance? Because too many of you smart a**es out there don't give us the god damn money when we call! I mean, do you think we would call if we didn't need that money? We got people to pay, like bookies. We got little kids at home that need new cars! We got dealers that get impatient waiting for cash! I mean how hard is it to just give us your full social security number, date of birth, and some banking information? You could just give us your credit card info instead? Jesus!
Well, I'm out there, working hard every day to take your money. Could you just help me out? Pick up the phone, and open your wallet. What are you doing to help make the world better, huh?
Later,
Engelbert Zimmerman, CEO

- Tiffany Young - Managing PartnerHello to all of you who I love soooo much!
Sorry I missed the big meeting, but I paid a visit to one of our clients in Canada. I'm back now, even though it took a little extra time to fit the new guy in my basement - oops did I just write that? I meant to just think that one. Nothing for you to worry about, OK? Do you still love me as much as I love you?
Well anyway, I just wanted to say that if you truly love me, you will just give me your credit card number and banking information when I call, OK? And all your other identifying information. It's for the best, I wouldn't ask if I didn't love you. We can be together forever if you do! I found you on Facebook - why do you have so many friends who are girls? I can't wait to read all your e-mail and text messages! I feel so good just thinking about it!
So why don't you pick up the phone anymore when I call? I just left you a 30 minute voice mail - did you listen to it yet? No? I'll call you again right now! You aren't going to break this off with me, are you? You said you would give me your love and loyalty and money! So have you sent me your money yet? No? I have a great idea - I'll just come and visit you! Won't that be fun? You know, instead of waiting til tomorrow, I'll just get started now! I already looked up your address on Google Earth. Was that your girlfriend in the window? She's not as pretty as you deserve, you know!
OK, so anyway I'll get to your house around 2 am. You will be able to recognize me: I drive a conversion van with the windows taped over. Don't mind the chloroform smell - it was just a stupid experiment. If you don't answer the door, I'll just come in your bedroom window - that's really my favorite way to visit my clients! Do you have any pets I should know about? We will have such a good time together - forever!
So, I'm going to call you every hour on my drive, and I can't wait to see you! It's no problem if you don't have your banking and credit card information ready when I get there - we'll have the rest of our lives together! I'm so excited to see you, and watch you sleep...
Love you all so much,
Tiff

- Easy way to stop this harassmentAll you have to do is call them back, press 0, and say that the person they are looking for is not at this number. Tell them they have the wrong number, and that you have never heard of that person.
The person you talk to when you call them back will very politely apologize and take your phone numbers out of the system. Ha ha!

I can be reached at 866-410-8063 EXT 107. I would love to hear from you!
So here are the answers to frequently asked questions:
1. Our address is Zimmerman Young & Assoc., 2211 Sheridan Dr., Suite A, Buffalo NY 14223. But guess what - we are right on the border of Buffalo and Towanda, so any letters you send will always get returned! We rigged it so that there is totally confusion for the zip codes, ensuring no pesky written letters from you people ever get delivered to us!
2. Yes, we do routinely violate the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. Yes that is illegal. Good luck prosecuting us though - our business can quickly disappear, and the next week we will start a new business with a new name - voile! We aren't afraid of the FTC, but we still get a little nervous when you threaten to tell on us!
3. No, you don't actually owe the money we are asking for. We would like you to pay us anyway!
4. No, there are not really any civil or criminal cases pending against any of you. Surprise!
5. No, there will be nothing garnished from your wages. No sheriff will serve you with a summons, and nothing has been filed in the court system in your county. Did we scare you? Fabulous!
6. We will continue you to call you, several times a day, using different people, live calls, and automated calls. I recommend that you do not answer our calls, but truthfully, we will keep it up for many months before giving up. Of course, if you like answering our calls, give us your ENTIRE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, and date of birth. We would love to get even more information about you! Phish, phish, phish!
7. Yes, we are low life do***e bags, working in an industry even scummier than the payday loan business.
8. Yes, we practice being rude, disrespectful, intimidating, and bad a**. Although truthfully, we are all a**holes to begin with - we just got lucky enough to find jobs where we can be ourselves!
So, in closing, just give us your money!
Most of us working here have pretty serious gambling debts, drinking problems, coke habits, legal troubles, and huge child support payments that we are years behind in. Your contributions are seriously needed (but not tax deductible).
I look forward to talking to each and every one of you as soon as possible! And give us your money!
Sincerely,
Jim Greene

- lisaGot basically the same call last night and this afternoon. I never responded. I have not bounced a check or have I EVER taken out a payday loan of any type. I have signed up through our government not to receive solicitation calls of any type. These folks are sly and will use whatever means they think deem necessary to bilge us working folks out of our hard earned csh. Do not buy into it! If you r unsure of whether or not u bounced a check or owe money for God's sake call your bank or the place where u got your loan. Keep it simple people and then u don't have to wonder and worry if these scammers are for real!

- Cindy| 1 replyDid you realize that they have gone and killed some of the people they have gone after for money!!!!! I do not jest. A friend of mine was being called by these people and they threatened her life. She found out later that they had killed someone that would not pay them. I checked this site today because I received a call from them today. I suggest that if anyone from Zimmerman calls you, call your police dept. and give them the name of the company, person who called and telephone number.
They sent some thug to some guy's house to try to get money and he ended up shooting the person that owed them money. These people are crooks and killers- Caller: Zimmerman

Whether you are called a debtor or some collector thinks you can flush one out, you have rights and options. Many are simple to exercise if you only learn how. You are granted control of how you are contacted, the right to dispute debt claims, and the means to sue violators at low cost. The FTC and the CFPB can start you on your homework. See also if your state laws grant additional or stronger rights.

http://www.consumerfinance.gov/askcfpb/search ... debt-collection - pauline maldonado| 1 replyI got the same call to telling me I was going to get charges tile on me for a payday loan I borrowed they want me to pay six payments of $243.00 until paid so idk what to do
- Old Grouch replies to pauline maldonadoTo Pauline M:
They cannot file criminal charges on you for a Payday loan if that is what they are threatening/implying.
It depends on what state you took the loan out in. This company may not be licensed to collect in your state. If your loan is past the statute of limitations for debt in your state, making any payment will re-open and start the "aging" process again. Do a lot of online research-there are tons of sites out there that will hel you.
8/27/13-Our company has gotten several calls and each time we pick up, it's a recorded message mid-way through about debt. I decided to call back today and see who (if the would tell me) they are trying to reach. The recorded message was a little hard to understand, so I pressed "0" as directed. Turns out it was a former employee. I explained that we had a high turnover, and I did not recall the name. Just be aware that they have a "trap" on their phones that will show the number you are calling from, (and I'm inclined to think that applies to unlisted/private numbers as well) so if you don't want them to know your number-DO NOT CALL! The guy I spoke with was nice (I wasn't the debtor, of course-thank goodness!) and said he would remove the phone number from their records. We will see if that is the case. - JQNN replies to CindyNope, that never happened.
- kario| 1 replyCalled me on Friday with a message saying that I was being investigated for check fraud and that if I didn't call them back immediately they had a federal warrant out for my arrest. I received another call the next day and the message said the same thing. Thankfully I googled their name before then and found this thread so I knew that this was a SCAM and didn't fall for what they were going for. I thought that if I didn't call them back they would leave me alone. NO they called my work and told them I was being investigated for check fraud and that they were going to come to my work and have me ARRESTED! My boss actually came down and told me this. When I called them back immediately after that they tried telling me my name was tied to someone else's. A Maria Lopez, a name I have never heard before in my life. When I told them that they told me it was fine and that they would take my name off the call list. I asked the lady her name which she refused to give me. I then asked her how she got my work phone number and contact information and she refused to answer, then hung up on me. I have never taken out a payday loan in my life and I have nothing in collections. Needless to say if they ever call me again they are getting a very very large piece of my mind.
