@ soemone who pays their bills.... better be counting your blessings that you CAN.  it can happen to anyone...people who fell on hardship and COULDN'T pay bills or some people couldn't even buy food but these agencies expect them to pay the debt before they buy food..... u r a judgemental [***].

You people that refuse to pay YOUR bills, what YOU OWE, yet still pay for the latest phone and all the cable channels, etc., you people are pathetic.  Stop blaming everyone else for what YOU have done, for your poor decisions.  Seriously, there is no avoiding the truth.  And these Lawyers that think they are the prince on the white horse, get a life!  Stop GETTING PAID to lie for liars and deadbeats.  There are tough laws to protect all these people that don't pay their bills, they shouldn't need Lawyers too making sure deadbeats don't pay what they owe.  That's like a lowlife deadbeat Dad hiring an attorney cause he's sick of being harassed about paying child support, yes it is, it's BS!  
No, I'm not an employee of LHR.  No I don't have any affiliation with them other than they called me about something I had from years ago that I genuinely forgot about but have now set-up a plan to repay, cause that's what responsible adults do, they pay their debts.  Hell, half of you complaining can't even spell correctly, but you have no problem spending money that isn't yours, WTG!

LHR is like all the other debt collection companies. They don't work for the original creditor, by the time a debt gets into these guys hands it has been charged off by the original creditor. These companies go to a private sale bid on a box and/or lot of boxes. They purchase these debts for pennies, then they call and harass people to try and collect on these old accounts. Anything they collect is pure profit, anyone can establish a collection company by these guys standards. I know because I was approached about such an opportunity. These are the scum of the business world. Know the definition of business? Look it up and it's not what these companies do.

yah, whatever dude,,.In this economy most people lost their job and even house had no food to eat. Now you have these rude collection agencies which are buying a $1000 debt for $10 from credit companies and make it sound like they are doing you a favor for settling it with you for $15000 in two payments.

Considering the fact that no debt collection agency is opened on Sunday, that statement is a lie and a half!!!

.. if you tell them wrong # they stop calling elan  is a horrible agency they are ruthless and I don't even owe them money but I did owe lhr and they were honest and respectful and made me feel good about cleaning up my credit.  But people complaining ans during that's what wrong with this country .. the Bible say owe no one and we wouldn't be so bad off if people would quit whining and pay up... nobody wants to be be a decent Person and not a scum bag

LHR is trying to collect on an old CC I had that I paid off with a settlement with the original company.  I sent them a copy of the settlement letter stating this debt has been paid yet they are still trying to collect on it.  They are CROOKS!!!

These people called and said they had my name and social linked to a bad check,in actuality it is an old hsbc account. When I called the rep hung up in the middle of conversation.

This is incorrect most debts stay on your CBR for life. However once they hit statute they cannot sue for that debt. It is still collectible however and can be paid on as well. Many large lenders such as mortgage companies will still use accounts never resolved past statute as a reason you cannot get financed and request it is paid first. The more closed accounts that were in good standing and closed the right away impacts your score in a good way, even past the statute date. Nothing "falls off" your actual report unless it is fraud or a disputed won by the consumwr

Absolutely an employee, a criminal to say the least.  You call people staying the truth about this company dead beats? These companies only hire deadbeats ex cons drug addicts and thief's. You are the idiot who chose to collect a paycheck to harass people on a daily basis that includes fraud! You only get in the middle of the cross fire you need to watch who you call dead beat. You must enjoy the court room..see you there !

It's not advisable to call them back, they appear to be debt scammers.
