I received 4 of these phone calls in the last 2 days. Googled the number and company, they were supposedly calling from. They had told me if I did not call them back, they were going to send their investigating team to my work/home. They also stated I was a criminal in my state. I called the number back, and they answered the phone "hello." Now if this was a real law firm, they would have said the name of the law firm when they answered.  I did a google on all of the info I had, and contacted the fraud hotline. The company stated that I took out a payday loan, which I did not, and if I did not pay it, I was going to be sued. The fraud number has had alot of complaints about this company, they did put me at ease and tell me it is a scam. They were individuals with heavy Indian accents. The law firm they said they were with was Lathum and Watkins, did a google on that too, and the real Latham and Watkins has a list of all attorneys on their website.....

try to respond to as many of these posts on here as I can to spread the word, but I dont get them all so please help me and help spread the word on this website if you can, about these Indian scammers.  (just watch the homepage of 800notes.com and look for people asking questions about people who identify themselves in an anglican name ((john smith, Will Turner, a normal american sounding name)) yet sound vocally like their name should be Muqtada Al-Sadr or something similar).  These guys are Indian Scammers based in India.  They use VOIP or prepaid cellular to make it appear they are in America when they are really not.   Unfortunantly the BEST advice I can give you, though its not always feasible, to make this stop is to change your phone number.  Ive been thru this same thing and its the ONLY thing Ive been able to do that actually works.  Just wanted to let you guys know and wish you luck in dealing with these scammers!  By the way, these guys change their numbers all the time (a frill of using spoofing, VOIP or prepaid) so just because you get a different number DOES NOT mean its real.   Stay smart, my firends out in cyberspace..ONLY deal with someone willing to MAIL you!!!

This is a total scam plz don't pay them money ignore their calls. . . .

I had the same call come in, by the same name and office. I have been getting this calls for months. Everytime different people and different law offies, bascically saying owe them for a payday advance. Bullsh**. I dont owe anyone nothing. So day this call was more instresting, because the lady actually had my social security number, which now has me worried. In the past I have report them to the federal bureau and invistigation, by website. I have been online for months researching and finding that they have been scaming people all over the world. My question is how are u guys getting our personal information, and how have u guys not been caught by now. I hope they get caught soon, cause this is very irriating. They have called my jobs and cell phone with all type of different numbers. I just hope they get caught and spend the last days of their live in prison, for fraud..SO BEAWARE..DONOT SEND ANY MONEY TO THIS PEOPLE OR GIVE UP AND PERSONAL INFORAMATION REGARDING YOU..I REPEAT THIS IS A SCAM A FRAUD BUSINESS AND THEY HAVE PEOPLE ON THIS WEBSITES, VOCHING FOR THEM MAKING IT SEEM LIKE ITS LEGIT.
