Calls at night almost daily around 6 or 7pm.  When I answered the phone they never spoke, however I could hear laughing and giggling in the background.  I am on the do not call list.

These ba$tards are really annoying! Calling two and three times a day-EVERY DAY for the last two weeks. They have a number to dial to request that they put your number on a do not call list.  The number is: (800)888-6780.  Do what I did...FAX THEM A DO NOT CALL ME LETTER at (719) 548-9225.  Just for good measure, I dialed the (719) 219-3885 number and left a message for the Human Resources Officer on her voice mail telling her to personally take my number off their call list.

These Jerks have called me for the last time! I was able to find a telephone number that will connect to an actual PERSON and not a recording. For those of you who are sick of being annoyed by these telemarketers, call (800) 888-6780 and demand to be taken off their call list. If your telephone number is registered in the National Do Not Call Database, go to:https://www.donotcall.gov/ and click on the "file a complaint" prompt. If enough people report these telemarketers, they will get the message and stop the annoying and unwanted calls. Hope this info helps.

Been calling 2-3 times a day for 2 months or more.  Got a warm body once, were looking for my wife to sell her on renewing a magazine subcription with Better Homes and Gardens.  Must be using old lists, she hasn't taken that magazine in over a year.  Shame on the magazine!

Called and reported that something I ordered last year and paid $14.00  now is selling for less and if I was interested in reordering. I've never ordered anything from such a person.

I also have received numerous calls all hours of the day and night.  I just called the number and there is a recording that said if you want your number removed to leave the number.  I left the number, we'll see what happens.

Called twice yesterday and I didn't answer.  They just called and I answered the phone and told them the person wasn't at home who they asked for, which was me.  I asked if they wanted to leave a message and the girl hung up.

I just called that number and you can be put on their do-not-call list.  I bought a subscription of Better Homes and Gardens from a child selling it as a fundraiser and my subscription is up.  So, that makes sense them calling trying to renew it.

Thanks for that 1-800 number.  I just called and talked to a real person and he was very nice.  He took my number down and said he would take it off.

This is an auto dialer service that finds good numbers.  You should call the number (800) 888-6780 and ask to be added to the do not call list.  I was promised a resolution within 24 hours...

I kept receiving daily calls from "Gravin Austin" or "Out Of Area" or "7192193885" as I have caller ID. When I answered the phone, they wanted to renew a magazine subscription for Better Homes and Gardens.  I explained that I had already renewed that subscription and paid the renewal.  Two days ago I received a bill thanking me for my telephone subscription.  After two hours of phone calls back to New York and Des Moines Iowa, I was told to ignore that bill as that order had been submitted by Gravin Austin on Feb. 22. I had two orders on record and my subscription has been paid for two more years.  This disreputable firm submitted another order for me without my authorization.  They should be put out of business, but how do you stop them?

Hello, I am a telemarketer for CAD.  I am fighting for my life, financially.  Yes, no matter what the "experts" say, we are in a recession.  The call center is filled with ex-cons who have very little opportunity to work anywhere else, with single moms trying to make ends meet.  In short, if one has a pulse one gets hired.  And frankly, we are grateful for that.

The calls are all dialed by the computer.  I hear a beep in my headset and say hello.  If you are on the DNC, sorry.  Guess it isn't working is it?  Call your congressman.  I have no idea how DNCs get into our data.

Fom my end, 45% of my calls are like this:  My headset beeps and I say hello just as the person on the other end is hanging up.  It must be taking the dialer 5 or 6 seconds to open the line to us.  So we too are often hearing silence.  And we have goals to meet.  So no, we don't hang around to 'splain ourselves.  We gotta roll to the next call.  

We must do at least 10 BHG renewals a night.  Anything above 10 we get a $2 bonus on.  Our contract says we get bonuses only if we have perfect attendance that week.  OK, no problem, right?  Dig this... recently on rep had an $80 bonus coming.  Then on Friday night he had made no sales by breaktime, so they sent him home.  Not perfect attendance.  Bye-bye bonus.  They have figured out how to cheat us.  Craven, Austin and Drake is probably a group of attorneys.  

So there you have it.  It would be nice if our lives were all nice and neat like many of you whiners who are pissed because you answered the phone at dinner.  It was your choice.  It's your option to answer the phone or not.  It doesn't matter to me.  I just mouse click the "end call" and roll.  Because ITS MY JOB!

They endlessly call my office, but no one is ever on the line when you pick up.  It seems pointless.  Why would they do this?  Obviously my experience is not unique.
