Scam artist. Posted an ad on craigslist about an assistant job, posed as a sculptur. Then sends you a fraudulent check. Do not get suckered!!

I got text messages and calls from the same number his name was Robert Schuller he said he was a sculptor had an ad on Craigslist also for an assistant he sent me a check for $2,350 , SCAM all the way BEWARE

Called and sent a check for 1855.00 to get me started on a job I applied to from Craigslist for an Admin. asst. Total Scam

Almost Fell for this scam, pretending to be Martin Dahinden, an eco-sculpture and needed someone to have money put into their account and pay his bills. Found this on Craiglist.

If anyone finds out who this [***] is please post. He ruined my life!!! Found the ad on Craigslist too and fell into it. Now I owe the bank money!!! It's been a year since this happened and it's still following me...

i got a check and numberous texts &  emails from this guy saying his name was liam brice. he said his mother was coming in from another state and needed someone to drive her to doctor appointments on craigslist as well. TOTAL SCAM!

Don't cash any checks from Woodforest National Bank. Almost looks like a cashier's check, but no way.  Also, this Liam Brice is committing mail fraud using the post office.

He doin the same car thing for me right now its an 09 something car his mom is needing a driver for doctor apointments and i am waiting for the fraudulant check now should be here tomorrow

Same here. Jus found out when I put his name in google. But he wants to send me money and a 09 car to pick up his mother.  Lol. Almost fell for it.  Thanks to u guys I haven't received a check to c if it is real.  F--k him. He should get charged with somethin if some of u have gotten in trouble over this

I received an email from him- however I never responded to a craigslist ad- I have a job, so I googled him and glad I found this page...still worried how he attained my work email though.

What happened when you cashed the check?

Shoot I just deposited his check into my bank yesterday! So do these banks approve his bad checks? I can't see how that would happen if this Liam Brice guy has no money in a bank acct to cover the funds! How the heck can my bank approve a check like this anyway? Someone PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER ME SO I KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT!!!  THANKS!!

Depends on the bank.  Normally,  the bank will charge you with whatever funds they may have paid out on the bad check.  The check is phony so they can't get to the check writer.  So they come after you.   They may be extra fees you have to pay as well.  Go to the bank and tell them that you think the check may have been fraudulent and to cancel the transaction!

This is mail fraud,  so if you have copies of any of the documents, go to the post office and make a complaint.  

This scam is used by scammers based in Africa, but they also have US compatriots who help them out.

Just tried to scam my 18 year old daughter, luckily I received the check and looked into it before hand.  Assistant job listed on Craigslist, story changed by the 2nd email.  Will report this to the local authorities, cashiers check looks very legit but the whole thing is a scam!
