I just went through the same scam. But he said his name was John Castro and my boss would be the Martin Dahinden. I responded to an ad on Craigslist for a part time telephone operator.  Had several emails and texts. Even received an official check delivered 1st class for $3450.00. He wanted me to deposit it into my account subtract my $500 weekly amt. For my wages then send the rest to a 3rd party..i hope this S.O.B. gets caught. Oh and I am taking check, emails and text messages to the police.  Believe that! BEWARE EVERYONE...

He said he was Chris edmunds to me. Here's the thing though I applied to his ad for a dental office receptionist and he replied back with some long email about being a sculptor. My response was sorry buddy you must be losing your scam touch.

I applied to the same assistant ad on Craigslist except I got two different emails one from a Steve Upton and the other from a Danny Perez both telling me to do different things with the checks they sent me. I was about to deposit the check until I saw this website thanks for saving me I had a bad feeling anyways about it. They also called from two different numbers one was (773)6441603

Damn he just tried that with me, I actually called the number posted on Craigslist and it sounded like an office, the person actually gave me his personal email. Glenn@titanfc.com. Today they texted me to place my credit card account so they could put consignment in it. And it said I would be receiving there check tomorrow as well. Damnn dude.. I'm so glad I didn't fall for it.

Glad I just googled the number I just got a cashier's check for 1,750.15. He wanted me to deposit it into my account says he's a sculptor even sent me the website Andrew Reyes, Liam Brice, Ryan Higgins it's alot of them on craigslist. I have even called the Wells Fargo bank it's drawn off of and the lady gone tell me he had to have the money to send a cashier's check but she couldn't find the account number. Thanks guys I wont fall for this either the guy just texted again saying it's not fraudulent!

Just recieved my first check from this son of a [***]. I'm glad there was a typo on the check so I realized that this was fraud. He has another one being sent to me and I can't wait to take it to the local authorities. Too bad there are this many crooks in the world.

This same thing just happened to me! Told me he was a sculptor, never gave me any contact info until I realized it was a scam and stopped answering his emails.

Repetitive and vague responses to my questions.  Received the check yesterday and will be taking to post office on Monday. Because of you guys i didn't deposit it. Thank you!

What's even more strange about this is that I just received a check from this guy for $1812.15 when he said it was a different amount. I knew the check was fake because it had a spelling error and when I confronted him about it he told me to continue to deposit it.

Thanks to you guys, I realized just in time that this was a friggin' scam.

Here I was all excited about finally getting a job. I guess it was rather suspicious that he was willing to take up an entry level personal assistant.

I got the same guy whike i tried to apply for a receptionist position at a gymnastics academy here in Colorado springs. Thankfully google recognized the format of his email and flagged him, it told me to be careful. He used the same eco sculptor [***] too. Smelled weird when I opened the message. Not today, Louis Sanchez.
