what i suggest is if youhave a fax machine you could try annoying the heck out of them by sending blank calls to them.  my fax machine will call them atleast 5 times and when they pick up they'll get that crazy fax sound.  And if you have two fax machine you could double your ability to annoy them.  this would be great if 10 or 20 people decided to flood them together.

I got 7 calls in 2 days. I don't pick up.

I got a call today, I wasn't home so a lady left a message, she said that the message was for me (sais my name), that that call was a business call and that it was very important for me to call her back today. I got back home around 7 p.m. and I called back and a machine answered and said that "everybody was busy at that time" and asked to wait but I hung up, and start looking for more details on the internet and found this website.

They have called me three days in a row on a cell number that I have had for over nine years. They have asked for three separate people. The last time they asked for Marion Barry. I asked to speak to their supervisor and they informed that they couldn't transfer the call.

I have been getting calls from this number at least once a day (sometimes up to 6 times a day) from November of last year up until today, July 15, 2008. I have reported the number to the National Do Not Call Registry and the Federal Trade Commission. My number has been on the Do Not Call Registry for 3 years and I STILL receive these calls. The first 3 times I picked up and the person on the other end hung up. The hundreds of times after that the phone would ring about 3 rings and hang up on its own w/o ever leaving a voicemail. By searching on this site it looks like it's from either a Macy's, Bloomingdale's or some kind of collection company of which I shop at neither, nor have I ever had a credit card from. I have called Macy's and Bloomingdale's directly and they confirmed I do not or have ever had an account w/them or have any delinquent payments. I checked my credit report recently and it is in excellent condition w/no delinquencies. It is frustrating and annoying to be called so many times and not have a block caller option on my phone. There should be a class action lawsuit against whoever is behind this number.

When I called this number and demanded to know who they were, they said HCL technologies. THey say they offered "special services" on behalf of Macy's or Bloomingdale's. I said stop calling. I called Bloomingdale's and asked to speak to customer service. When I asked who handles customers payments, etc. and they finally admitted after I asked to speak with a manager, that HCL technologies provides "select services".
They are doing some kind of scam thing it appears since they want social security numbers, DOB, etc. I reported them both to the FTC and put this number on the national DNC registry. All the people I spoke to could barely speak english(extremely thick accent) and sounded like they were from India. Hope this helps

I got a call today asking for "Irma Arana" at my phone number which I've had for 8+ years. I told them they had a wrong number, but after we hung up, I realized that the name they gave is some illegal alien who has been using my SSN to get employment in the Houston and Baton Rouge areas. So whoever they are, they're using a "people search" to try to put phone numbers with SSN's. I think it's a sleazy bill collection agency but might be a scam.

I also got a call from this number earlier today around 3:45pm Eastern Time. I did not answer it. By the looks of all these complaints, I think it is a scammer looking to steal your identity. =P

this number has called mine several times..when i return the call once i reached what sounded like a young girl and when i asked her why she was calling she hung up on me..the other times i've reached a recording or just dead air..this number does not leave messages and except for my caller id i wouldnt even know who they were

these people keep calling asking for someone else to return a call, which I will not

they keep calling. they are not  from macy's but they say you missed the last payment would you like to pay it now?

Phone message:  just to return call to Mr. Davis at 800-947-6229, which when Googled, comes up Macy's in Ohio, credit department.

I just checked my Macy's account, and oops, I forgot to pay my bill.
So, it appears legit.
Just letting y'all know...

This is the second time I am wanting to inform you that these calls are really annoying and I want them to stop! This is apparently regarding my Macy's bill, if Macy's continues to use this service or methodology I will terminate my card & stop shopping there! My call was regarding an $8.56 past due on my account topped with a $35.00 "late fee!" after I had a credit for many months of over $220.oo! Macy's needs to get a hhandle on this because while being a very good customer for over twenty years, this is annoying enough for me to cancel my card, and spend my money elsewhere!

I have been getting calls from this number since last week and they call at the same times atleast 6 times a day. I'm also fed up with them.. I normally do not pick up the phone from an unknown number as I'm not much of a chatting person but I have a cousin in Fl so I thought maybe it is his new number but he'll leave the message. So I called this morning but no response and I was kept on hold so I just thought of doing a search on this number and found this site.. Thanks for bringing up this issue on net to let people like me know.
