NO IM NOT YELLING.  I READ BETTER IN CAPS.
I TOO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, EXCEPT I GET CALLS ALL DAY LONG.
AT LEAST 6+ A DAY, EVERY DAY.  NOW, EVEN TALKING TO SOMEONE, WE GOT NOWHERE BECAUSE, GUESS WHAT?? I CANT UNDERSTAND HIS EXTREMELY POOR ENGLISH. THIS MY FRIENDS PI##ES MY OFF THE MOST.  UNTIL MACY'S CORRECTS THIS I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN, PERIOD!
TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE WHEN I DO ANSWER, NO ONE IS THERE.  THEY ACTUALLY HAVE THE NERVE TO TELL ME TO WAIT TILL THE NEXT REP IS AVAILABLE.
CRAZY AS IT SOUNDS, IF ANYONE ANSWERS THEIR PHONE AND HEARS A FEW SECOND TIME LAPSE..HANG UP.  AT THAT MOMENT THEIR COMPUTER IS TRYING TO CONNECT YOU TO THEM.
ALSO, YOU CAN BUY A PRODUCT CALLED "" TO HELP SOME OF THESE SITUATIOS.
WHAT HAPPENS IS WHEN YOU ANSWER THE PHONE THE PRODUCT SENDS A TONE TO
TELL THE COMPUTER CALLING YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT THERE AND CAUSES THEIR COMPUTER DIALING SERVICE TO DISCONECT.  I THINK I EXPLAINED THIS PRETTY MUCH RIGHT.
I SCREEN CALLS FOR MY FAMILY SINCE WE HAVE A BUSINESS.  THESE PEOPLE ALWAYS BEAT AROUND THE BUSH.  TRYING TO CONFUSE ME.  I ASK WHO IS CALLING AND WHAT THE CALL IN QUESTION IS IN REGARDS TO.  THE NEVER TELL ME.  THEY HANG UP THEN START THIS MORNING TO NIGHT HARASSING AGAIN.  I HAVE TOLD THESE PEOPLE MANY TIMES GET A PERSON I CAN UNDERSTAND, AND TELL ME WHAT THE CALL IS ABOUT.  TO NO AVAIL.
NOW IM PI@@ED.  I AM NOW GOING AFTER THEM FOR HARRASMENT.  REPORT TO POLICE, BBB, AND WHOEVER I NEED TO...PLUS MY ATTORNEY

Don't tell us it's calling us because we owe them money.  You don't know what the hell you're talking about.  I don't owe them money, and they constantly call.

This is Macy's. They called me twice already today, and will probably do so again later. It's their Collections company or department. They called me one other time, a few months ago. What pisses me off the most is that they call when the bill is ONE day late! WTF?! I have never had a company call me when a bill is only a day late (I'm notorious for not mailing them soon enough!). They're very aggressive and a major pain in the butt. From now on, I'll charge anything at Macy's on my Visa card and forget about my Macy's card (which I only use a few times a year anyway).

This number called my home phone on 12/6/07 four times in one day then stopped.  The Caller ID said "FACS".  I didn't answer but I don't think it was a telemarketer.  It is fairly easy to alter Caller ID.  The ANI can bet set to a 10 diget number of the caller's choosing so many of these names and numbers are false. People use these numbers for their own purposes.  In my case, I seem to have caught the attention of a PI probably hired by my boyfreind's wife.  (Note to them:  It is an AFFAIR-it has little to do with the club).

I have been receiving calls from 727-556-5772 on one of my Verizon Wireless family plan phones which I have had for years.  One voice mail mentioned Migel Owens and credit services.  Then they would call my 78 year old mom's cell phone and she couldn't get to the phone and they would just hang up (missed call).  Both her and I both tried calling back but after 10minutes (non free from air time charges) I would give up on the "Your call is important to us" (US who is US???).
I called Verizon Wireless to ask who can I complain to FTC ... FCC .... my 611 tech would just say "I can change your number free of charge" over and over.   And I kept asking who can I complaint to, and how can you block this number.  (Sorry the Samsung phone you have doesn't have block).
But thanks to all of you, I knew this was a Macy's Credit number that was calling.  I Yahooed Macys Credit and spoke to a very nice lady named Cindy who took all the information above and placed me on hold while she called the Credit Department (It was a few minutes on hold but she kept checking back with me - very professional).  After about 7 - 10 minutes she informed me that she spoke with someone and they updated there records and the calls should stop now.

This number has called me a few times a week, every two or three weeks.  They always leave a message and a callback number, for me to call back in regards to a personal account.

From checking the web, this is apparently an outsourcing company used by Federated Dept. Stores (Macy's).  Except:

    1) I have never had a Macy's account
    2) I have not set foot in a Macy's store in at least 10 years
    3) I checked my credit report and there are no unknown cards on my report
    4) I carry no balances on any credit card, ever - I pay off every month
    5) They are calling a business phone number, which I would never use on a personal account

All in all, sounds like a hoax.

Wrong - they call me, and I've never had a Macy's card, ever.  I haven't been in a Macy's in at least 10 years.  It's a hoax. It's as simple as that.

I also constantly get calls from this number, both at my home and work.  They never leave messages.  If they are Macy's, which might be legit, I don't know why they would call because my payments to this company are always on time.  How can I block this number?

NO!  This is an illegitimate, fraudulent operation.  It it telephone phishing (sometimes called "vishing"), which tries to get your personal information.

It showed up on my caller ID as FACS 1-727-556-5772
When I answered I got a voice recording asking me to please hold for the next person. I few seconds latter a woman named Melissa with a very heavy foreign accent asked for me with my full married name.( I have not used that name in 3yrs)I told her that person was unavailble & I could take a messege, thats when she gave me a call back number and said it was about a personel business matter.

I am sick and tired of recieving these calls, they call every single day, nobody ever there and with two young kids and another on the way it is a distraction I can't have.  We have a Macy's card with a 30 dollar balance and always pay the bill ontime.  Earlier threds indicate this number somewhere in ohio , linked to an outsource;.  Please call Macy's and urge them to drop this outsourcing.  Macy's reputation deserves better than this.

This number has been calling my house for at least a year. I finally got irritated enough to search the number on the internet after they called this Saturday morning at 8:30AM. I've read most posts here. I do not have a Macy's account nor do I have an outstanding balance on any account for that matter. Sometimes they leave a message "we are calling in regard to your Macy's account," while other times the line simply disconnects. AHHHHH!

    Hi all,
I'm having the same problem as everyone else here, 2-4 calls a day, no message left, no one says anything on other end of line.  (And I do not have a Macy's credit card, nor do I owe them money.)  File a complaint online with the Better Business Bureau: www.bbb.org.  It only takes a few minutes, and if enough people contact them, I think that Macy's will take action (optimist that I am).  They must have outsourced their debt collection to a totally incompetent company.

Yes, this is a call center for Macy's.  However, if you call the 727 number back you will sit on hold forever.  Just call Macy's customer service 1-800 number and deal directly with the company.

I don't answer the phone if I don't recognize the caller ID. If it is someone who wants to speak to me they can leave me a message. I don't call back any numbers that appear on my caller ID that do not leave a message. Many posters on here have said this FACS is a collection agency for Macys. Well I don't owe Macys anything so unless they leave a message they are wasting their time.

This isn't Macy's. And anyone who thinks it's Macy's needs to realize this. Whoever these people are sound very convincing, but everyone should know is that NO company will call you asking for an account number let alone a SSN.

If they're calling you they should already have your account number/info on there computer and will only ask for basic info to verify that your the right person. These people are clever they know what you owe and who you owe it to and when you've missed a payment, that type of information isn't hard to come by.

I'll try calling macy's soon to find out where exactly there florida center is located, to see if it matches the phone numbers area code. I've already seen on macy's site all the contact centers even the ones in FLA and none have this 727 area code. I also doubt it's this FDS bank they claim to be.

This is a SCAM it's not Macy's don't give any info to these people, in fact ask them from where exactly there calling and all they will tell you is "we can't give you that information" , well I can't give you my information either.

These calls are obviously from India, where the number somewhere gets rerouted to this Florida area code. Unfortunately all these call centers are getting outsourced to India which is fine, but India is infamous for these info phishing phone scams.
