You guys are GREAT!  If it wasn't for these posts, I'd think I was the only one being pestered by these jerks!  I finally treated myself to a phone that can block calls other than just local ones. And it works!  I got sick and tired of reporting so many call to the Do Not Call Registry.  If they take care of ONE jerk company...there are 100 that start calling.  It's sickening...and I'm past being sick of it.  There must be something we can do!!  But I'm glad I'm NOT the only one who's fed up!!!

You're welcome, FedUp.  :)  I have a really short fuse for these calls.  What bothers me is that there are too many innocent victims out there who try to be too polite to these callers and they're the ones who end up getting scammed.  They're so afraid to NOT answer their phone or just lift the receiver and hang up without saying a word.  Believe me...the calls to my landline had gone way down...and now the numbers that are just starting to call are new and few and far between.  So if we all get a little tough and fight back...it WILL help.  I still report the calls to the DNC Registry.  When it gives you the chance to say something, I tell them all I can but don't have to give my name and/or number.  I think they do try to help...but come on, they can only do so much.  It's up to us to fight back, too!  And BTW...thank you for all the "cute" names to use.  Love it!

So cool I have someone to back me that has some  balls. ( Dick N . Ballz is another good one ), and wants to get back at them. The key is to be persistent but not consistent. Don't let them "time" your calls !

These callers are Fraudsters.  They are using auto dialers and MagicJacks.  They are calling from the following phone numbers 908-818-8636, 713-142-3942, 731-201-0118 and other blocked numbers.  Do NOT give any personal information.  Do NOT answer their sometimes MEDICAL questions. Anon believes the leader of this OP to be a Megan's Law Offender who did State Prison time in California.  This person had his law license revoked by California.  This person had his medical license revoked by Canada.  This person comitted FRAUD in Kingsway Hove, Sussex, England.  Again, DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION to this person.

I received a missed call from this number. After reading other notes here, I definitely won't be calling back.

731-201-0118 is a scammer touting a walmart gift card. Purpose of the
call is to get the VICTIM to give up personal info to pay the shipping
charges. This is a fraudulent caller. Block them from future calls
using your cell phone feature and do NOT get SPAMMED by these
[***].

Got a call from this number - didn't answer - blocked the number afterwards.

"Do not call" registries only apply to US companies - these calls are being made off shore and they don't have to follow the same rules.  Need to get used to it.  

Wanted to give $100 gift Walmart card.

Called the cell, rang once and hung up. Didn't (and don't ever) call back.

They are not even supposed to be calling cell phone numbers. Just added this one to the blocked list in my cell.

Did not answer as did not recognize number from another state.

Received a call from this number, they left a very clear message about only a few slots left for 'Time Shares'....sign up and receive a $100 walmart card.

Walmart gift card. Gave her my name as Ben Screwed. Asked for cc. Said if I shop walmart you think I have one? She hung up.

Caller wanted me to provide CC info for a walmart gift card. I told him to hold one while I got my credit card, set the phone down and left it there. 4 minutes later, he hung up.

irritating, disgusting ...some people and companies have all the time in the world to make unwanted calls ...sad

Just got a call from this number and it was to donate money for prolife cause.Whats going on here,all of you got call for free gift Wal-Mart card. My caller sounded american and wanted me to give her money for ProLife. BOY OH BOY if free gift cards dont get them our money they will try for ProLife

received two calls from that number on my cell phone. did not answer. no message left.

Put that app on your mobile phone and add all these # to the blacklist. They will get no voice mail option, and your phone will not ring. The screen will only briefly show that it processed a call.
Instead of no voice mail, you can also let the caller hear annoying sounds, such as snoring or a traffic jam.
Another option is to "bomb" text message spammers with a bunch of auto-replies.
