- Mr X replies to STOP CRYING LISTEN NEXT TIME| 1 replyI filled out a form to win a car while I was at the state fair, NO mention of this vacation crap when it was filled out, This is a scam to get peoples names and numbers, Was there even a car to win? maybe I should check with the attorney general and see how legal this is.
- I hate dumb people replies to Mr Xyea its is legit I work there and before I worked there I did their timeshare thing and got everything they told me I would. Your dumb because you filled the entry form out for a car if you flip it over on the back of the entry form it states we will be calling you about timeshare and you will be offered vacations through vacation village resorts also there is a $75.00 fully refundable deposit that you get back upon completion of the 90 minute tour.
- I hate dumb people replies to DONT BE SCAMMEDyou dumb its not a scam read the back of the entry form it states it all I did it and got all of my gifts plus my $75 back. It's timeshare stupid. Call the better business bureau and they will tell you that it is legit and that mcdonalds, and all the other places that the entry forms are available at would NOT put a box up in the establishment if it was not legal.
- I hate dumb people replies to stolen money| 1 replyyet another dumb person uhh they can't keep your credit card information that's why it is put back on a visa gift card so you should thank them because that is more safe for you so no one can get a hold of your info. Also quit your bitchen you got your $75 back and more and its still money so stfu
- no one says win won or free replies to worse day| 2 repliesthey NEVER say WIN, WON, OR FREE. So your are def. wrong buddy
- not a scam!| 2 repliesNo it's not a scam. Open your ears, they tell you everything. I talked to a Christine or Christina she was very nice and sweet. She told me what I would receive. I had said oh my gosh we won and she politely corrected that it was just a selection and that it was timeshare. She transferred me over to April.Who was also nice. Yes I wrote both of their names down just in case it turned out to be a scam. April booked us for November 19,2010. We arrived for our 3days/2nights. I had a wonderful time. The tour was not bad either. They were not pushy nor did they carry out the tour. I got my $75 back plus both vacation. Also I was hesitated to give my card out. They gave me the number to the better business bureau who verified that they are legit.

- sure it's a scam replies to not a scam!Wow sounds like somebody is having a baaaad day in the boiler room -- GOOD!
What's it like to have a job where you have to go on the internet and insist "it's not a SCAM"? Must be like you can't get honest work. Your life must suck as much as your job, most people would be physically sick if they had a job like yours.
Professional liar. - Mary replies to STOP CRYING LISTEN NEXT TIMEyes you do(call everyone who fills one out)....stop lying
- sherrie replies to no one says win won or free| 1 replyYEA....because they have a monitoring department....but that doesnt mean they arent a scam! LOSER!
- angel replies to not a scam!April sucks.....
- OfficiallySettingTheRecordStr8| 2 repliesYo...Imma ICP for Vacation Village Resorts....For those that dont know what that is, its the Initial Contact Person aka the guy who calls you a thousand times until you pick up the phone. Imma a very honest man, so to avoid all of the bs, Im gonna break it down to you...Tho I dont agree with how the company is ran internally, it is actually legit and not a scam.
You filled out an entry form...I call you...
IF you answer:
I inform you that your entry form was one of our many selections (and we dont select EVERYONES entry, you have to qualify). I give you 3days and 2nights in da berkshires complimentary...your only obligation is to attend a 90 minute "courtesy tour of the resort"....you dont have to purchase or join anything. We are not allowed to say you "won" (because many were selected) and we cannot say its "free".JUST AS THE BACK OF YOUR ENTRY FORM STATED, your out of pocket expenses are food and transportation.IF the travel coordinator finds a date that is convenient for you, they take a guaranteed arrival deposit of $75(which is refunded upon completion of da tour). Now, we dont keep credit card info, so thatll be refunded on a visa gift card....My job as an ICP is to inform you of this and get you transferred to a travel coordinator....if you are LEGALLY married, then i would have to get both spouses on the line to speak to the travel coordinator at the same time ...being that we are registered with the better business bureau, this is LEGALLY required....so dont be a dick when we want you both on the line....once your both on the line, i recap with the both of you and transfer you to the travel coordinator....if you are single, i transfer u to my manager (who verifies i didnt promise you a million dollars) and the he/she transfers you to the travel coordinator............Now the travel coordinator goes over the amenities and things the resort has to offer....after that, they go over dates....now...there are 2 packages.....PACKAGE 1: you schedule your 3 days/2 nights within the next 6 weeks....PACKAGE 2: you schedule one day, within the next 6 weeks, to take the tour. After the tour, you recieve a voucher for 3 days/2 nights to come back whenever you like within the next 12 months(YOU MUST CALL A MONTH BEFORE COMING).....Now with both packages, you recieve your $75 back after the tour....And it accomodates up to four(no pets).... Now the travel coordinator has what they call "star dates"...if you can come out on a star date, you can receive additional gifts : up to an extra $125 on ya visa gift card ...and a 4 day/3 night stay at one of our sister resorts (williamsburg, massanutten, orlando, las vegas & more) of your choice....ALSO, depending on where you filled it out, you ALSO recieve a gift card to THAT venue (mcdonalds,chillis,etc).....so if you land on a star date, you get 2 vacation getaways, gift card to venue, & up to $200 on your visa gift card (your $75 deposit + up to $125 gift money)......cant beat it.......so once u get a date, the travel coordinator transfers you to the credit manager (on a secure credit line) who takes your deposit on a visa, discover, or mastercard....no american express....WHY?...because the credit manager gives you a 6 digit confirmation number that cannot be obtained through american express.....the $75 deposit is put on the visa gift card because we cannot keep your credit card information.....duh! the credit manager explains the reschedule policy and gives you the conifirmation code...you then recieve a email confirmation and then a physical confirmation/welcome package....And boom! Make sure you show up.
IF you DONT answer:
I will keep continuously callin your [***] for the next 7 days....company policy!
Legal and Legit. And i just have a question... How smart is it to put your information on a piece of paper without even reading it? You shouldnt lash out at a companys reputation just because you were being dumb...thats..well...dumb! I mean sure, i have my own personal reasons for hating the company, but it has nothing to do with its legitimacy.....Be a responsible adult when it comes to filling out entry forms or dont do it at all.....And pay attention when someone is explaining something to you instead of just saying "ok" to make the call go quicker....be smart...not dumb....! - Try the truth instead replies to OfficiallySettingTheRecordStr8First you trick people into singing up for something that you falsely make them think has potential value, like some "contest", when in fact it's nothing but a trick to get their phone number so you can harangue them on the phone endlessly. Wait, you say they signed up for THAT? HELL NO. Nobody would voluntarily sign up for that. YOU TRICKED THEM.
Then you have the nerve to lecture your victims on this site about how stupid they are that they let you TRICK THEM?
There's a boiler room in HELL waiting for slime like you, too bad you won't get there soon enough! - its a scam replies to We The PeopleI gOt a phone call saying we won one of 3 major prize. She said he need to be divorce cause the wife and I r separated aNd there saying I won a car vacation or 20 000 dollars sunday I have to be in va by 3pm at the resort its a scam
- anonymous23323 replies to I hate dumb peopleI haven't even gotten a call from you but if I do I'll make sure to hang up. You seem like a total [***] and cursing back at others shows your poor quality as a "company". Very unprofessional and immature.
- poop999 replies to old-fashioned skepticthis is probably one of their "employees" haha so fake
- SandyThey did not answer any of our questions but wanted all our details. They even misunderstood what we were saying and hung up very rudely.
Horrible customer relations- Caller: Vacation Village Resorts, Williamsburg
- sylvie2001I just received a call from Vacation Village Resorts last week! I was a winner of not one - but TWO vacation trips. I was pressured into having a "travel companion" on the line with me - when asked why that was important - I recieved no good answer. I was transferred to a supervisor who was extremely rude - could not provide timelines, he expected me to drop everything I was doing and do a day trip to a resort in Virginia - Massanuten and I needed to do that in 4 weeks! When I told him that would be impossible because I was traveling elsewhere - the reply was- well, good luck next time and he actually hung up!! I was trying to string them along - but in the end - they became more frustrated with me! I think its extremly rude and offensive demand a conference call, demand your time, demand your money and all within a short period of time. They called 5 times before I answered the phone and it was after 9:00 pm EST....Scam, Scam, Scam.....please don't get sucked in!! Oh - and my brother won as well!! lol

- WhyoWhy replies to OfficiallySettingTheRecordStr8So I was about to give your company the benefit of the doubt and just figured the people on here didn't know what they were getting themselves into when I came across your posting as well as a few others from people claiming to work for Vacation Village Resorts.
I gotta say just reading YOUR posts has turned me off to the idea of ever attending the free nights we received. Seriously you work for the company and you start your post with "Yo Imma ICP" and say "ima keep calling your a**" And then you (and a few of your coworkers) call your customers dumb for not knowing you were going to call.
Even if you guys are legit you sound like a piece of s#!t company to deal with. And your posts have only made you seem WORSE. - they are scammersTo anyone who can help
I’m in desperate need of some assistance in resolving an issue with Williamsburg Plantation. In March of 2011, I purchased a membership (time share). I went to Williamsburg on a tour, and the sales representative offered me a starting price of $14,990, I denied the offer and was ready to leave, but he (Patrick Hicks) kept my wife and I there to negotiate a better deal (price) after of about 45 min. of negotiating the price the we agree to a package with a floating week a year and a bonus week every year for some were around $7800. (we could not use until 2012)
We now are with the loan officer and she is gathering the paper work up for us to sign, she shows us a couple of sheets of paper with a total price of around 16k. She said it is your total price with interest and fees and closing, after we gave them $1900, some of the 1900 went towards closing and fees. My wife and I on our calculator went over the price, fees, and interest with the loan officer, (7800-1499=6301,,,, 6301 x .17= 1071.17,,,, 1071.17 x7= 7498.19 ,,, 7489.19 + 6301=13799,,, 13799 + closing cost and misc. fees; that would be our final cost (she went over these numbers with us). We were very excited; she asked do we agree with the terms? We agreed. Since we agreed she said all we had to do is initial on about fifteen different papers and sign the last sheet; she said all of the sheets we are signing now and initialing was the long format of what she just explained. She had the papers lined up on her desk with the spot where she wanted us to initial at exposed, and to sigh. We left happy and we it was all over.
We were not able to keep up with our payment, but we made a payment when we could. I have spoke to a Deborah in the mortgage department and let her know our plans with paying it off in the beginning of the next year. I called to inquire about the price of the pay off. On 1/27/12 so I can pay it off in the middle of the following month. Deborah told us that the pay off price was over fifteen thousand dollars. I said that is impossible to have a pay off price of that amount we are not financing it for the whole term so it should be close to the original price of somewhere around $7800.
It turns out that they charged me $14990 for the unit not including the finance charge; the loan officer manipulated us and mis lead us. She verbally gave us one price while going over our contract and showed us a paper with the figure on it; and made us to believe that that’s what we were signing up for when it was not! She never showed us in the contract where we were being charged $14990 for the unit. She hid that from us because she knew that’s not we agreed to with the sale man or her. I need help with this matter because the manager Gordon said the contract is binding no matter what I agreed on with the sales man or what the loan officer verbally told us it would be. Can someone please contact me via. Email or call me at 804 721 1289, with advice on how to go about resolving this issue.
William Murphy - Long Time Employee| 4 repliesFirst off, I am going to start this msg by saying that I work for this company and have off and on since August of 2001. I have been there this time since June of 2005. My name is April. I have 4 children of my own so I would never work for a company that would try to scam people out of their money! All you people have to do is actually turn over the little piece of paper that you just put your information on and read it. it takes 2 minutes of your life. on the back of this entry form that you filled out states that yes we are timeshare, yes we will require 90 minutes of your time, yes as long as you qualify (all the boxes that you marked) that we will call you, it also states that there is a deposit of $75 that will be done by credit card and you receive it back on a visa gift card once you complete your tour. it also states on your entry form that you will be notified by phone from the hours of 8am - 10pm!! now, for the things that you actually took your time to put on the entry form......
your name and address, most of you put your occupation, your spouses occupation, and your email address. then there are the boxes that you checked....your income, your age, marital status, what credit cards you use, and how many weeks you vacation a year. after putting all of that info on a form wouldnt you want to read the small print?!?!
At no point when you are on the phone with the ICP (initial contact person) or the travel coordinator does anyone EVER say WIN, WON, FREE, OR CONGRATULATIONS!!!! WE WOULD BE FIRED ON THE SPOT!!!!!!! we do say you are selected, and if you say that you won we even correct you!!!
for those of you that are saying we are a giant scam please take a step back, go to mcdonalds (we have boxes at most of them) and read the back of one of these forms!!!! it is not our fault if you didnt listen to us when we say no cancelations or reschedules. it is not our fault if you say you qualify and then dont....
if we were a scam then there would be no way that we would be in business still since the early 1990's, we wouldnt have a A+ rating with the BBB (which we do by the way) nor would we (just the office i work in alone) have sent the resort over 7000 tours last year alone!!!!!
so, stop complaining and get over it...THANKS!!!!!!- Caller: Williamsburg Plantation Resort
