Keep getting calls on my work cell - they are relentless.  Because It's my work cell, apparently they are looking for the previous owner of this number.  Irritating.  No messages, just missed calls multiple times throughout the day.  Caller ID says Augusta, GA.  Called back from landline and it's Diversified Consultants.  Google reports say they are debt collectors focused on telco.

Blocked - they aren't looking for me and I'm tired of the harassment.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

This number has called 10 times since December 28, 2017. They never leave a message. I hadn't realized they had called so many times! I get calls from unknown numbers for work; according to my phone log, I've answered 3 times. If there is silence after I answer, I hang up quickly, which is what the phone log shows I did each time.
