This is a legitimate number.  BriovaRx handles the specialty pharmacy orders for UnitedHealthcare and one of their call centers is in the Philippines.

Got a call from this number this morning for my wife. They said they were from HUMANA (not UHC as in previous reports)

Calls and does not leave a message. Seems like an insurance scam based on other reports

I receive a call from number 763-274-3899. Clain to be from United Health Care and wanted to know if I was taken a medication that had never been perscribed to me. Also the Doctor was an unknown Doctor to me that they stated perscribed the medication also a pharmacy anso not known to me. I am in Baltimore Md and this pharmacy is in Jeffersonville In. 47130. I asked them to give me my Member ID number from my insuranve and they did not have my insurance member ID Number. They ask my name, birthday and address

Got a voicemail from this number saying she is from UHC asking me to fax over a W9 to verify my Tax ID. I called UHC provider services from the number on their website- they said they do not have a record of calling me or needing to verify any information.

This is a shared number between United Health Care as well as their online pharmacy "Briova RX".  Most recent call was from UHC (I didn't pick up) they left a message telling me they have an important matter concerning my health care and call them back because it's so important.

I called them back and they explained something about hooking me up with some care provider at UHC and I told the woman on the other end as unoffending as possible, 'I do NOT consider this to be an important health insurance matter and STOP calling me'.  She abruptly hung up.

Next call from same number is from Briova RX wanting me to renew my prescription (which by the way, they just sent me a week or so ago so I still have like 3 weeks worth).  I told them they have to stop calling me and that I'll go online and place my order when I see I'm getting low.

I'm so irritated with UHC at this point.

Caller ID says this is Optum a division of UHC.  Called 2 times today to verify husband's phone no.

this number called 11:15 am Friday. I didnt answer,They didnt leave a message . If they are UHC united healthcare they should leave a message.

Briova Specialty Pharmacy calling to verify where to send my prescription. This was a legit call for me.

I received a voice message from this number and she indicated where she was calling from but I couldn’t understand what she said but she said she needed more info for my authorization.

From reading the comments they are from UHC and I don’t have UHC.  I am waiting for something ordered by my doctor to be authorized but I very suspicious of this.

Call from this number today, but left no voice message.  Since I don't have United Health as my insurance, have to assume it was from spammers even though others indicate it was a "real call" from UHC.

Hi, my name is Brian. I'm calling from United Healthcare provider service department. I'm calling in regards to a claim submitted with the providers name???. We're in order to process the claim. I need to verify the tax ID and the last five digits of the tax ID. What I have in the claim is 700-788-7780. If this is a correct tax ID, we will also require a W-9 form to process the claim as this tax ID is not currently loaded in my system. So please fax the W-9 form to the United Healthcare fax number which is 866-276-9060. I repeat. The fax number is 866-276-9060 with attention to reference number. 7786 I repeat 177 286 and along with that. I also want to know the correct billing address and a place of service to process the claim. So please call back with this record information at 800-379-1050. I repeat call back number is 800-379-1050, and my extension number is 633-9100. My extension number is 600-3391. And again the reference number for this call is 170-700-2086. Thank you.

Called pretending to be from United Healthcare pre-authorization department and immediately asked for my birth date and address to verify my identity for security purposes. Seemed really fishy to me so I said it was a bad time and asked for a call-back number. She gave me a number that is definitely *NOT* UHC: 888-713-7380 extension 67744. Scam scam scam. Never give out personal information unless you can 100% verify who is on the other end of the line. Do not take them at their word that they are UHC.

Just called my office (I work for a physician who participates with UHC). It was someone with a very heavy Indian accent. THis is the second call I've received in two days. They asked to verify my info. They gave me the info and my response was "that's correct"...I try not to ever say "yes" because that's how scammers get you. They record the word "yes" and then claim that you ordered something or agreed to something. I'm always iffy when I hear a foreign accent.

This is most definitely a scam. A gentlemen left a voicemail and I called UHC on the number on the insurance card and confirmed they did NOT call me. Do not ever give out personal information unless you know 110% who you are talking to.

Did not answer.

I received 2 suspicious calls from callers claiming to be united health care about my new doctor. I did not give any private info like my as #. Be careful I finally hung up on the second caller.

That's weird because i called and got through to ask about a pending appeal.  I spoke to someone. The call i got today was the same woman i talked to who was calling to give me an update.

I also received a call from this no.  I think it is a scam and will report it to the police.
