    Called wanting to change SS deposit. Got a callback from this number. Asked all the right questions, but the lady sounded much too young and something just felt "off." I hung up. I'll go to the local office to change my info.

    So I called social security and requested a call back. I got a call back about an hour later from this number and was put on hold for another 10 minutes. Then someone answered and asked for my social security number in order to answer my questions. Is that normal?

    No, because you would have heard the recording you made of your name.

    Not true, SS now will call back instead of make you wait an hour on the phone. Worked great for me.
