I recieved the exact same letter on 4/21/10. Same name Bob Stevens@1778-223-7661 different number and address. Check for $4800 to pay taxes on $480,000.  Called Bob he said to deposit check into my checking account. DID NOT !!! It is a scam!!!!!

I just received same letter from Index Financial Services, Canada w/check in amt of $4800.00 from Han Ah Reum Market, Inc. and I am to call a Jim Wright @ 1-7782237455.  Guess I'll take this to local police or call the BBB.

Yep...man o man...someone I know received the same letter and check from the same company yesterday...they called me today to tell me about it and was very excited!!! I told them NOT TO SEND ANY MONEY TO THEM until I had to chance to look this up on the internet...so I came across this site today and I told them all about it being a scam, he didn't believe me at first until I started rattling off all the dollar amounts/addresses and phone numbers off this site and it matched the letter...worst thing about it was the letter was sent to his wife and she deposited the check and sent them the money they requested already via western union...DANG IT!!!...they didn't send them any of their own money though, just the $3850.00...I told them that they should go to the bank and explain the whole thing to them, because the bank needs to know also...hopefully it will work out, but I got a feeling the bank is going to request the money back from them....any advice from you guys that I can offer to them???...They're an older couple and I feel terrible that this has happened to them....

I received the same check from HAN REUM MARKET, INC. for the amount of $4800. Was told to contact Frank Robert at 1778-223-7466 to start the claim processing! What a scam! I have contacted the BBB.

Hey Charlie, that check was NOT real. Your friend did NOT deposit any money in her account, so the $3850.00 she sent was her own money. Very sad.

Also recieved a letter dated 4/16/10 and received it 2 days ago May 3 from the same company with the same contact person and number. I did think about calling and bought an international calling card. Thought I couldn't go wrong for if this was a scam I have family who could use the card. Any ways looks like another scam. People are getting good at this, too bad they can't use their talents for something honest. One day their come upings will get the best of them.

I just received the same Letter  with the address of  New York Life, Po Box 6916 , Cleveland OH 44101-6916  The check is drawn from a  JP Morgan Bank,N,A. Syracuse,NY

I received the same as you on May 11, 2010. $4,800 check from New York Life and also drawn from JP Morgan Bank, N.A. Syracuse, NY for 2nd place winning USA Mega International Lottery Sweepstakes for $450,000 dollars. Jim Wright @ 1778-223-7665 is the claims agent. Today I called New York Life and they told me that it was 100% fraud. I called this fellow and he is getting angry because I have been grilling him on this web site, thank God I googled this company Index Financial Services in Sydney, Novia Scotia.

Same exact thing here. Telephone number 1778-889-8914 Bob Stevens. Yeah right, sure I won $480,200 I wish I could "see" this guy in person. They are trying to ripoff my grandpa. Goldrain Financial, Inc. Scam 100% for sure.

got a letter 8/10/2009 just found the stuff in my papers.. been moving a lot... letter is from allstate financial services my workers name is Jim Morris the number is 778-858-5484 the company that the check is from is Gaiam Americas Inc. their address is 833 South Boulder Rd, Louisville CO, 80027. Said i had won $450,000 and the check is for $4,800 for taxes. the letter is signed by a Carolyn Myers (promotions manager) it has a spot where i have to detatch and sign to give to my representative after i receive my check of 450,000 bucks... it is a sweepstakes for USA mega milllions......

same thing happened but on may 1 2010. won the 2nd prize usa mega, notified bank of check and possible problem. they are investigating . looked at the check copy my bank gave to me of the fake check went on line to (JPMorgan.chase bank,n.a.dallas tx) found T Bank Na,Dallas, Tx opened the page and found cross boarder scams by 3 people. Tax agent (Roxanna Linn), clam agents (Jessica Allen and Robert Ryman) nationality nigerians,  home address 1445 richards str. Toronto Cananda. Tel# 1-778-316-6347 same 3 for goldrain financial inc.  just info i found in 30 min of search time.

pne number worked  Went to Google, and was completely surprised at the number opf people who were being screwed by this company.  ; .
