Scam from an advertising directory, pretends to be "Thanking" the Manager about something, acts like a customer.

They called the corporate line to get intouch with marketing department.

Once I picked up she talks my ear off for 15 minutes, then tells me she wants to confirm my billing address to send me the invoice of an ad that she will create for me.

At this point I told her to stop, b/c i am not agreeing to an ad over the phone and that she should send me an e-mail with details.  She told me they don't deal with e-mail, so I said until they start they can't be doing business.

This number has been calling me for last 3 years once amonth right at noon 12:00.
They are scam. I don't know why phone companies like rogers don't do anything about this kind of scams.

Same female has called twice... looking for "the boss". She talks like she knows us.

I think its drug awareness booklet advertising I did it once and it is not a scam but they are persistant so now I ignore the number.

Matt, you wouldn't be someone from that other publication that decided to use our publications as a client list,  would you? We don't call our advertisers every month, but apparently you do. I believe that you calling us a scam would qualify under the "libel" category, but you could double-check that with your lawyer.

Why they are calling me I don't know... this outfit is out of Canada & I'm in the states!

They are a marketing company. They put out a childrens drug awareness book. Very persistent but not a scam.

called our business yesterday, i told her to stop calling and hung up.. She redialed consecutively  SIX times! This woman is insane!!

This number woke me up this morning and proceeded to call 13 @#$*^@*&^%!@$ TIMES OVER THE NEXT TWO HOURS.

What's worse, they stayed on the line just long enough to leave a blank message, EVERY TIME. One time I heard someone say "that's funny"... maybe a prank call.

I too receive calls from this number all the time without a message. So one day called it out of curiosity. I got a snotty lady saying Maple leaf something or rather? I didn't care anyway. I asked her not to call my phone number as I am on the the national do not call list...this is what she said, "Oh that does not apply to us as we are a business and business to business calls do not fall under the criteria for the do not call list." Okay...so what is the purpose of the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST!!!  Oh I know to stop unwanted calls from private persons! I asked that I receive no more calls and she in a snotty tone of voice said "I'll pass that along to my supervisor"  I'll probably get even more calls now! why don't these people get it?Cold calls don't work! Try real advertising you cheap [***]!

Just got a call ...asked for my boss by first name..female, acting very casual like she knows him.  Told her no he's out, but of course there is no message, just 'oh, I'll give him  a call later'. WHY DO THESE COMPANIES THINK THEY WILL GENERATE ANY BUSINESS USING THIS SCAMMIE CALL ROUTINE!  Do they not understand that we can just search their number to figure them out?  ANNOYING BEYOND BELIEF!!!!!

Just got a call from them, as well. They are always so cheerful that it's make it obvious they are selling something. I just straight out asked her what she was selling and after joking saying  "Me - in a big red ribbon" She gave up when I didn't laugh and said she would try phoning someone else.
I phoned them back and asked to be remove from their list...time will tell!

Business to business eh? Thanks for the tip, just added them to our reject list. Totally unwanted calls from them. Why would our taxi company want to waste time on the phone with their company, who is trying to sell children's books to us? Time wasters.

I use to work for these guys for one whole week, the reason they are so persistant that everyone is told if you don't make your first sale within your first 2 days of working there, you will be fired, if you have been working there for a while and don't make sale for 3 or 4 days you will be fired. I seen them fire someone who had been there 15 years because he "had a bad week". The pretending to know the boss is a tactic that they teach right away and not someone the individual sales persons makes up on his own.

Honestly she sounded like she was drunk this morning.
