I have received at least 6 calls in the last week from O'Connell Greenman & Assoc saying that they will be filing charges against my daughter because of fraudulent activity.  All were recorded messages.  I called and they gave me this address of their corporate headquarters:  480 Tacoma Ave, Suite 110, Tacoma, WA   Said they were registered in all 50 states, phone #202-697-4451 but called from these numbers:  972-317-9700; 866-211-2430, 877-675-4540;  972-362-1077;  877-526-3182.
They are relentless.  My daughter paid this years ago AND my son pd it for her several years later to end the harassment, however, years later she is still being threatened!   What can you do to end all this????

just had same situation with these folks.  hey called my Mom first who then called me.  After being hung up just trying to get basic information, such as firm, business licence nuber for my state, so on. i finaly asked who they were collecting for and instucted them to send me any file they had to my home address certified mail. she asked to verify my address i said tell me what you have. There went the bells, the address they had was more than 8 years old and i have moved.  They have no current info.  Do not buy into these people, give them no info, absolutly no banking or credit card numbers.  If they have a valid debt they can send ou a letter so you can dispute it first to your correct address if they have it!  What a SCAM!!!

They won't stop calling you and they call from many different numbers.  A call blocker is your best bet.  Also, don't pick up on calls you do not recognize.

Also,  if they continue to call you tell them that you are going to the police to make a complaint of extortion.  Do it.  Then if they still call you, read out the number and name of the PD on the report.  That should stop them, at least for awhile.

Got a call from a Calynn Garcia (916-282-1316)  at 6:27 am PST and left a message for a lady last name Conberg , case number MZX38775 and said she had to call the number 786-924-0413. I called the number and tried to calming explain to the lady that it was the wrong number, then she said why then I got an attitude with her and told her I didn't appreciate being called at that time and she wanted the case number and not the number called, I wanted to speak to someone else and she didn't let me so I said I will call back and talk to someone smarter than her that could do it. I called back and got the same woman and off the bat she asked what was wrong and I told her and she wanted to argue about the time that was called because I said before 6:30 am....last time I checked 6:27 was before 6:30. She said to drop the attitude and she would remove the number for me.

very harrassing, calling me on a daily basis threating me with charges. Now I do study law and what they are doing is unlawful. I will also be reporting them to to the FTC

I too received a threatening call and they hung up on me.  Twice.
Stating I had an educational loan from Advance Pay America from 10 years ago.
I just finished school so I KNOW this is a scam.

Received a call, supposedly from O'Connel, Greenman and associates with an IA number that was probably spoofed. They claimed to be ready to file charges against me and go to court. So, I wasn't that busy and figured to give them the run around.

I asked which would come first, the arrest or the court date. The woman paused, then said they were issuing a summons. So I said OK, go ahead. Since you've never sent me anything in the mail, I can't wait to see what you have. Then I asked if she was aware that payday loans were illegal in my state and that you can't go to court without "clean hands" because it will get tossed.

So then she said she would file a police report. I said OK. I guess my husband will likely put the handcuffs on me and take me back to his job. Another pause...she didn't get it yet.

Finally, I told her, sorry, but its a civil case and in my state, the police are not gonna arrest you for a payday loan cause its illegal in here. SO, were back at square one, to a court case...and I think I already explained that.

She hung up.

received a call from O'Connell, Greenman,and Associates states I will be served for breach of contract and fraudalaunce. This account is over 6 yrs olf and when I asked her for information she said it will all be available in court. Lady was rude and pushy. Didn't give her my information.
