Claimed to be verizon wanting to help me shopping

Left a message claiming to be from Verizon.  Too bad for them I last logged into Verizon to pay my bill 3 weeks ago, and just like with the fake IRS agents that were caught in India, I've been Verizon customer for over 20 years and they never called me "just to help" - STRONG SPAM SUSPICION!  Message as transcribed by my voice mail:  "Hello this is Lenny with Verizon over-here(?) the Internet support team. I think the previous(?) you may tried to log on process under online. I was just reaching out to see if you needed my help with anything. If you're still interested feel free to reach out my phone numbe..."

They called me said they were Verizon and asked if I had trouble placing an order and if I would like assistance. I declined assistance and they kept pushing. I hung up called Verizon directly and there is no notes on my acct of someone trying to call me. They said they don’t make outbound calls to help place orders. Scammer number don’t answer!

just received a phone call from this number,  lady left a message stating she was representing Verizon and about updating my plan and the scary part is that she knew my first name

We wanted to let you know Verizon LTE Home is available in my area. As a Verizon customer you qualify for a limited time offer. We'd like to talk about you internet service. If interested, you can give us a call at 601...or the number we called you from. Have a wonderful day and thanks for being the best part of Verizon.

Immediately after ignoring the call I got this text:
Hi, this is ADRIANNA from Verizon. It was great connecting with you! Tap the link below to save my contact information. Feel free to contact me any time if there's anything I can assist you with. You can also use the link within the contact card to see our latest offers at any time. FreeVZWMsg (and they included a link).

They also left a voicemail.

Claimed to be from Verizon. Seeking to "upgrade my phone" .
I was not interested; and said I do not have the time to do
this. This was yesterday.
What is odd is that I could not recharge my phone late
last night. The phone is charging now.

Received a call asking me if I’d like to continue purchasing what was in my verizon shopping cart which was an Apple watch series 8.Told her I got hesitant of buying it because the price is a little bit high.Told me that since I just recently bought an iphone 14 pro max I could still avail a $150 discount.She told me to stay on the line so she could arrange for it.Got suspicious and then I remembered that Verizon was only offering a $120 discount.Checked the the number and voila found this site.Immediately hang-upped then block this number with verizon and my phone.

They called me and I answered and said hello, they said "thank you for calling Verizon wireless, how may I help you today?" I hung up.

Received a call this morning, a person claiming to be from Verizon said they were just calling to check on customers to see if there was anything we needed, like a new line or upgrade. I said no I'm good and they said thanks and to have a good day and hung up.

Thank you for your post. I blocked the number.

Jumped right into saying there were special offers on our account. When I asked who it was, the response was... Verizon. To unlock these offers he needed to verify some account info. This scammer was smoother than your average scammer, but still just only a low-life.

Phishing/ scam call.
Didn't answer; Caller left generic message posing as Verizon Wireless offering a deal on a phone upgrade. The deal ends today and I am to call back at another number they specified to receive the deal...

Called and  left a voicemail. Not today Cody, not today. I saved the audio and transcription just in case. Lol.

“Hi this is Cody with Verizon Wireless following up on your interest in getting new equipment you can call us back here our number is 800-922-0204 thanks have a great day……”

Called and left a vm saying "Hi this is Samantha with Verizon Wireless I was following up to share some great offers we have right now if you'd like to hear about our special promotions you can text me back at 912-222-1612.

Said he was from Verizon and then asked for my name. I asked him why he would bother calling me if he didn’t have my name, and he instantly hung up on me.

They called me -
Them: This is <insert name here> with Verizon.
Me: Hey.
Them: How can I help you today?
Me: I didn't call you.
Them: Is there anything Verizon can do for you?
I hung up.

Just called and left a message. Said he was with Verizon, and was returning my call about Verizon Internet. I have never made any such call, nor expressed any such interest.

Called didn't answer as it came up as spam on caller ID. Going by what everyone else was saying that it was someone identifying as verizon. I did have Verizon call yesterday but I had scheduled that call with them. Their caller ID shows Verizon.
