Maybe it's from Aqua Financing INC. They have been calling me several times a day.

It is Aqua finance. They harass you like crazy, calling four-five times a day until you make arrangements for a past due balance.

we are pretty ruthless when it comes to the past due accounts.

we are legally entitled to call until we contact a person at the number that the auto-dialer dials.

thats right, its an auto dialer, we dont dial the numbers

They call on sundays and that is illigal i believe, so maby they would like a law suit against them. and it would be different if they would call and when you pick up they would at least say something to you. Monday will be the day they hear from me after i talk to a lawyer.

§ 806. Harassment or abuse

A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:

1) The use or threat of use of violence or other criminal means to harm the physical person, reputation, or property of any person.

2) The use of obscene or profane language or language the natural consequence of which is to abuse the hearer or reader.

3) The publication of a list of consumers who allegedly refuse to pay debts, except to a consumer reporting agency or to persons meeting the requirements of section 603(f) or 604(3) of this Act.

4) The advertisement for sale of any debt to coerce payment of the debt.

5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.

6) Except as provided in section 804, the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the caller’s identity.

§ 804. Acquisition of location information
Any debt collector communicating with any person other than the consumer for the purpose of acquiring location information about the consumer shall—
(1) identify himself, state that he is confirming or correcting
location information concerning the consumer, and, only if expressly requested, identify his employer;

(2) not state that such consumer owes any debt;

(3) not communicate with any such person more than onceunless requested to do so by such person or unless the debt collector reasonably believes that the earlier response of such person is erroneous or incomplete and that such person now has correct or complete location information;

(4) not communicate by post card;

(5) not use any language or symbol on any envelope or in the contents of any communication effected by the mails or telegram that indicates that the debt collector is in the debt collection business or that the communication relates to the collection of a debt; and

(6) after the debt collector knows the consumer is represented
by an attorney with regard to the subject debt and has knowledge of, or can readily ascertain, such attorney’s name and address, not communicate with any person other than that attorney, unless the attorney fails to respond within a reasonable period of time to the communication from the debt collector.

I hate to tell all of you but if you just paid your bill you would not be recieving these calls in the first place.  as annoying as it may be they would not have to call you if you just simply PAID YOUR BILL

people, then do not fall behind on you bills, and pay them on time, so nobody will be calling you, cus if they call you is because you are behind, JUST PAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the correct definiton for colleting , of course when u dont pay your bills the best excuse its to say that they harrass u, dont u think ? Why do u think they cll u to ask for your personal life ? or to ask for the time ? or how is the weather ? of course not if u pay on time nobody has to cll to remeber what u owe if u cant pay why in first place bought something that u can't afford and later on blame it on the company or to hide. Next time look for better definitions or at least better excuses !!!!

Without using finances as a reason, what's the point of calling? Got to have some reason to call even if it's fake.

I take my obligations seriously. I'll use an autodialer until I connect with twig.

I believe you. Anyone using that many exclamation points has to be serious.

If they're so ruthless,  why don't they connect when you answer.  Nothing pisses me off more than answering the phone and they hang up.

I don't answer calls that don't ID the caller. period.

Called my cell. Had the wrong name. Asked me if I lived at an address in Georgia and if my name was Michael something. I told them that no, I live in Iowa and my is Dennis. I also pointed out they were calling an Iowa area code. They said they'd remove my number but I don't believe them.

I had Aqua Finance calling me every day maybe twice a day.  I finally called them back because Chad left me a message with his contact number.  I have NEVER had any dealings with them and I do not owe any bills.  He apologized, said he would take my number off the system and that he was just making calls to a list of "possibles" and did not know how he got my number.  Calling someone once or twice every single day will not benefit him.  He said, "How would I know if you don't answer the phone?"  I do not answer numbers I do not know.
