- eric replies to James CherryThis is a scam to get money for both the carrier and the company. It is a horoscope and they charge the carrier and then the carrier charges you for data usage. Be careful. Verizon does this and if y9u don't pay they hit you with late fees and OF COURSE THEY WILL NEVER EXPLAIN THIS TO YOU BEFORE YOU SIGN UP. Just spent a hour with Verizon after trying last month to get these charges taken off. And the worst of it is that you get charged even if you did not contact them!!!
- geojudygot a prepaid phone from T mobile . Someone is taking 100 min. every month. They call themself ----tonetonetones.
- amygot this message today said mymobilenine.com. Charged 9.99 out of my pre-paid balance. I called verizon, they had me text the number STOP, it sent me back a message saying I was now unsubcribed. Verizon blocked the number as well and gave me back the 9.99. Success!

- Nicole C.If you are receiving premium text messages (charges for $9.99 per month), text "STOP" from the cell phone being charged to 81636. They will send you a return email stating tha tyou will no longer receive any messages or charges along with their phone number. You can attempt to call the number and request a refund although it's difficult to get through.

- manswell| 1 replyjust got verizon to look into it because i noticed i was charged for some premium messaging service. they told me it was mymobilenine(.com), took care of the charge and gave me the number to text: 84653 and text 'stop'. i don't remember exactly, but i may have seen some kind of solicitation via text a while ago. i didn't realize it was activated. i had to look up what mymobilenine.com was all about. what a scam.
- killer428 replies to RyanI just sent a cancel and stop message to # 63137 and immediately got a response saying I was unsubscribed. It works !!
- armymom replies to manswellI have paperless billing with Verizon and just pay my bill online each month. For some reason I happened to look at the bill this month. I found the Premium Messaging $9.99 charge. Called Verizon to see what it was for. They said I received a text message from 84653 and did not reply "STOP" so I had "opted in" to that service. They refunded me for the month. For the heck of it, I looked over my previous months bills. I have had this for 3 months!!!! I called back Verizon and at first they said they could not credit me because they had already paid this provider. I argued that it was on my father's line and he doesn't use text messaging. They looked over the bills and apparently each of those months on the 27th, the only text received each month was from 84653. Since he did not respond -- he doesn't even know how to text -- we got charged. I was furious. After a few times of being placed on hold, Verizon agreed to remove the charges. I had them put a block on all 5 of my lines to block the 5 digit texts from coming in. Also, be sure to text STOP to the number or you will get charged the next month! What a scam! I am in the wrong line of work! I should be getting rich doing the text scam business!!!!
- notgivenGet a Google Voice number. When you need to put a cell phone number on a form, use that. You can call and text from it without sending it to your phone. If the form says they don't accept GV numbers, be very wary because they intend to charge you.
. - ChloeI got a text today from AT & T that a "subscription to myringtones" had been renewed; I never signed up for such a subscription so contacted AT & T and found out that my phone bill had been charged $9.99 TWICE on this month's phone bills and TWICE 9.99 for month's bill for two different things: "my ringtones spot," and "mobile tonez." Both of these appear to originate from the same source. AT & T cancelled the charges for these two months. I am going to file a complaint with the FCC and also the State's attorney general's office, which probably won't result in anything, but who knows? I urge all of you to do the same thing and also check your phone bill every month. It's appalling that AT & T can process 3rd party charges without a specific authorization by me to AT & T.
- Caller: AT & T sent a text; the charges were made by my ringtones spot and mobile toneze
