telling me a notification regarding vehicle purchased recently

I got a post card in the mail with this number on it. Card says Notice: Vehicle Warranty Expiration. I have never heard of this company

Says i purchased a vehicle a year and a half ago...
Card addressed in my MAIDEN NAME i have not used in many years!!!!

This is very suspicious to me!
The last auto bought was in both names,  hubby as primary and i as cosigner... We bought it in 2009...

OOPS!
Forgot to mention the warranty on that vehicle is 100,000 miles or like 7 years... Mileage is only 16,000...

This sounds like a version of the auto warranty scam as discussed by the FTC here http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt155.shtm  They have no freaking idea what car you have, how many miles it has, etc. They're simply fishing for callbacks and then try to talk you into buying a service contract (*NOT* a warranty even though they call it a warranty) with their "company" that has so many loopholes that it's practically useless. It's a scam.

I received a card too.  Of course it is a scam.  I called, and of course, the employee had no answers, only questions; he lied throughout the call.  I invite these types of scams though, because it gives me a telephone number that deserves a good prank call.  Trust me, the employee will never forget my VIN.

I also received a notice in the mail. Coincidently, I did purchase a vehicle a year and a half ago. I have attempted to call this number several times and each time I was on hold for over 2 minutes and then I believe *someone* picked up the phone and then immediately disconnected the call. I think that if it was legitimate, they would at least WANT to pick up the phone and CREATE business.

I just got off from phone.  They dont have any of my information (like name, car info, etc).  If they are genuine, they should have some info.  Instead, they are asking me my car details.  I recently bought a car and it's warranty is not gonna expire any soon.  This is all SCAM. Don't give any information to them.

Just got a ridiculous letter in the mail with this number, supposedly from National Vehicle Headquarters. They are definitely fishing, trying to get any info you may tell them. Be careful!

I received a letter from this number telling me that i am allotted to the expiration of my vehicle factory warranty . Asking me to pay a monthly fee so as to have coverage base on my car. If anyone have any idea please inform me as to whether it's a scam  thank You

I received a letter telling me Factory Warranty was about to expire. My car is only 2 months old and has less than 2,000 on it. I'm throwing this letter in the trash.

My warranty is 60k and they sent it after i only drove 2k so definitely scam!

I got the letter. They want me to call and have my VIN # and current mileage ready :p  The back of the letter says the info they have is based on my credit report info, and to contact Equifax and TransUnion if i "don't want to receive these".  Yes, I will be calling.... to report them.

Call 1-800-261-9178. They were trying to get me to pay for extended auto electrical warranties. 6  years or 1000,000 miles at  $ 155.00 down and $ 114.13 a month  for 24 months. Totaling  $ 2894.12.
I told them to let me do some research on their company and I would call them back. The guy was very rude to me telling me I should take the coverage now!!! I hung-up on him then he call me husband to try to get him to buy the same coverage.

This is a new 2014 Toyota Tundra 2 miles on odometer why would I need to buy a extend electrical warranties from them. The truck came with a factory 3 year 36,000 miles bumper to bumper warranties.

I received a green card, called the number, the man ask for the  reference number,  he looked up your name and told me I had a 2016 2012 2005 2004 and a 2003 vehicle when I asked him which vehicle was this for he couldn't tell me, wow, the real bad news is I don't drive .

I got a letter to from them!  Im glad I checked it as I always do with mail and phone calls I no nothing about!

Nice try scammers. My car is less than 3 months old with under 1,500 miles so the warranty is definitely in no danger of expiring. I really want to know where they get this information because it's probably a violation for those companies (auto finance, vehicle retailers, credit reports, etc) to share our personal information. No one needs to know the addresses of people with brand new cars. I really hope people aren't falling for this scam!

Just got off the phone with them.  The man didn't know my car information. He then started to give me a breakdown of how much my monthly payment would be for an extended warranty. He then proceeded to ask me for my credit card information. It was then where I stopped.  I realized then this was a scam. He kept pressuring me to make the 1st payment. I told him I didn't realize I had to pay right away. He then was scrambling telling me to just try my card even though I had told him I didn't have any money till next week.  He then started to get agitated when I told him I was going to call back. He said they were closing right now and I needed to make that payment today.  Then when I told him I need to check my finances- he says Why don't you already know your finances??? LOL and then he says.. Did you think that this warranty is for free???... How ridiculous is this scammer????
