WHO called the FBI? You? This caller? Please give more details.

This site says 800-266-2278 is Comcast. We use Comcast, they have only called us one time about a year ago, on a number caller ID showed as Comcast. This 800-266-2278, has no ID, has phoned three times today, answered first time, nothing on line.  Next two calls answering machine, no message left. Based on reports here, this number now blocked.

Got a call yesterday. Left a automated voicemail. Called the number back and they were trying to sell my home protection. They called again today. I called back again to get out on the do not call list and the guy tried to sell me direct tv. SCAM

I have the same issue. They call me all the time & leave voicemails saying they’re Comcast calling with an important message.

With all the scammers out there I am very cautious about information I give out or even answer.  I got a call from this unidentified number (first warning), said it was Comcast and wanted to get info about my recent transaction and the first question was "what is your full name" (warning two), couldn't understand the caller who had a distinct accent probably from India (warning three).  How does Comcast represent themselves in such a poor manner?  They don't identify themselves, have foreign speaking representatives and want me to give out my personal information.  I hung up on them.  If they need answers from me put it in writing.  Poor communication for a company that is in the communication business.  Hope I didn't make a mistake changing to their service.

They have called 9x in less than 24hrs. No voicemails left. I called back yesterday and the man had no record of why I have been called. Again this morning the calls continued, I answered and was hung up on so I called back again..... shocker woman had no idea why I was called and no record of me being called at all. I was told to talk to their fraud department and the VERY RUDE man on the line told me I was being "SPOOFED" and call the police and it wasn't considered harassment. I lost it, then they had the nerve to call again!!!!  My bill is current, long time customer (15+ yrs) and the rep yesterday played a guessing game of well maybe we were calling due to it may be time for a router update.  I will be filing harassment charges and looking into other services ASAP.   WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!

This may indeed be Comcast, in in the past 5 cases for me it was not.  It is a scammer spoofing their Caller ID to make it look like Comcast.  They will tell you there's something wrong with your computer, there isn't.  It is a scam.
It won't help to call Comcast and complain, just block the number.

I am a comcast customer that never answers the comcast phone. It is only for outgoing calls I have the ringer turned off.  Comcast does not have my permission to call me.

I answered and heard a different language.  I told them I didn't understand.  Some guy said in English, "that's because its Hindi? and we're scamming?"  I promptly hung up!!  (Caller ID showed it as Comcast.)

This is not Comcast. It is a scammer spoofing a Comcast number. They call once a day. I told Comcast to call my cell number, its documented that the home number is only for outgoing calls, the voicemail is turned off and the ringer is turned off. The cell number does a better job blocking all spam calls anyway.

CID = "COMCAST" ………

CID said COMCAST but was spoofed.  We don't have comcast and they are trying to get on computer claiming it's infected.  Beware of the comcast spoof scams.

"Comcast" on CID again.  Don't have or want comcast so this is a spoofer scamming their number for me.  Could be legitimate for others but am sure they were trying to pull the "you have an infected computer" scam on me like they've tried before with other spoofed comcast CID's

Be careful with this one. This really is a legitimate Comcast number however a scammer spoofed it on my phone. When I called him on it he very quickly hung up. Comcast verified the call did not come from them.

Called me tonight and left a voicemail identifying themselves as a Comcast representative to let me know that my  security system had lost internet connection.  They went on to give an address in PA where this was supposedly taking place (I don't live in PA).  Finally, they gave a phone number they said they were calling from, and to contact them using the internet (and gave a web address).  Yeah, not going to put that into my computer, dude!

Keep getting calls comes up Comcast want Verizon account number and pin to transfer number no way gave me a totally different number to call back

called & I didn't answer & they called right back and did answer . It was Comcast computer calling about a recent service order. I actually pressed 1 to talk to someone & she asked at least 4 times maybe 5 for me to verify that I didn't have any kind of Comcast account. She also asked for my address but I would not give it to her. Said she will make a note to avoid receiving calls in the future. Really sounded like they were conducting a sneaky survey to see where their numbers were in different areas

Calls several times a day never leaves a voice mail.
