Comcast.
I have blocked the number but they literally call me 10 times a day.
Since we are their HOSTAGES (no other ISP to choose from) I can only assume they are calling about a different one of their CRAPPY products!
I told them at one point I had been waiting for them to call so I could add CRAPPY phone/mobile/security services to their CRAPPY cable/internet service................they hung up!

"Comcast" calling to say I have a virus...told "Mark" I was just at the doctor for my physical and everything is good.

I don't feel this is Comcast calling.  I asked him to prove it to me, and he hung up on me.  This is not the first time I've had such a type of call, so I don't believe this is Comcast.

Called me four times in two days. No voice mails.

CID shows Comcast, but the message left with my voicemail was a prerecorded generic spiel about "lowering your bill." then press whatever number to speak to someone.  Yeah, I'm about to do that.

Cable company scam to get into your computer

Ha ha - am betting this is a spoofed number.  I answered the phone with "which scam is this?" and the person on the other end of the line swore at me (which is exactly the type of answer you would expect from a scammer).  We get an endless number of scam calls - one dumber than the next.  Who are the people keeping these criminals in business?

It is not Comcast, it is a spammer using Comcast's number in a VOIP.

They called multiple times in the same day. When I answer the phone they said my internet has been hacked and that there are multiple people using it. It was all a scam. They said they are calling for Comcast, so I just called Comcast and asked them about it. They said it was all a scam.

Received a call showing this number and claiming to be from Comcast. The person with a heavy Indian accent came on and asked if my Comcast service was working well, and after a couple back and forth exchanged I was sure it was a spoofed scam call since he didn't know what services I had, so asked him what my name is and he gave the name of the person who had my phone number before me - over 7 years ago. I told him he was a scammer and he swore at me in Hindi, then hung up. Apparently the scammers are spoofing the real Xfinity phone number to try to add credibility.

SCAM ALERT !  Repeat spoofing robocall.  Calls at 10am.  Call ID says 800 266-2278 COMCAST WON’T LEAVE MSG. !  It's definitely not COMCAST.

SCAM ALERT !  Repeat spoofing robocall.  Calls AGAIN today at 10am.  Call ID says 800 266-2278 COMCAST This time I spoke to the person calling and I said that I'm reporting the call to the FTC,  the person calling was a man with an asian accent with lots of call center noise in the background and he said he's not afraid of the FTC and then began to use foul profanity ! I then reported the call to the FTC.  It's definitely not COMCAST, I'm a COMCAST customer and 800 266-2278 is the number that customers use to call them, COMCAST uses a different number to contact their customers.

Caller ID was "1-800-266-2278 COMCAST" (received on CC VoIP service).  Caller was in noisy Indian call center, claimed to want to "restore my internet service to full 90Mbps".  Odd, since we have Gigabit service.  Claimed did not want information from us, then in next sentence was wanting IP address info (which CC would have of course).  Tried to keep him on the line but he realized I knew it was a scam & he rang off.

Constant calls and hang ups claims to be comcast.

Comcast but I have a different cable service

Complete fraud. Wanted to fix my computer. Claimed they were in Baltimore but couldn't give me an area code. Called back on 800-563-4595 after I played with them and hung up.

Called me back to back at 11PM!!! No voicemail left either after I ignored.

My phone blocks this number and I don't know why. My remote not accepting voice

Its my tv company calls. Comcast don't block please.

Well, instead of replying to someone who posted 11 years ago, maybe you should contact your phone company and ask them who it's being blocked.
