- Danny replies to AshleySame here, Ashley - just got 4 calls (and voicemails) in the just over a half-hour. Another group must be spoofing the Apple support #. So a reminder to anyone else receiving these calls, unless you have recently been in touch with apple support and the voice message left is clearly pertaining to your discussions with them, this is undoubtedly a spoofed spam call.
- SPLSame nonsense--partial voice mail about Apple devices. Blocked

- SusanThey called and said they were from Apple Inc and that my ip address was being used by people in Germany. They tried to take over my computer and then wanted me to give them my credit card number to fix my computer. They told me that I would be reimbursed by Apple. I then knew they were imposters.

- RODNEY| 1 replyRobotic voicemail saying it was "Molly" from Apple support that my icloud account has been breached. I don't have an apple icloud account and don't even own an apple product (never have) telling me to call back to their "toll free" number of 209-276-0529. I don't believe that is even a toll free number. The number shown on caller ID was 1-800-275-2273. They called 6 times within 2 1/2 hours.
- Caller: AppleCare
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- MJG replies to RODNEY209 is the area code for the Stockton, California area.
- JayThey called me several times on different days. A voice, which is the typical scam voice, started saying something about Apple iCloud. The number was Apple's number, so this was spoofing. I never pick up. Apple only calls you, when you have made an appointment with them to call on a certain day and at a certain time. They have all your information, and you don't have to give them any account information. So scammers don't know the day and time and of course don't know your account information.

- RicMCalled my cell, left a partial message. Very poor robotic voice claiming to be from Apple asking me to press one to connect with an Apple support advisor. It went on to say I can call back later at 209-276-0529, so I did from my office phone. Only got a fast busy signal.

- DaveDid not recognize number, sent to voicemail. Message left was poor quality, garbled, prerecorded female robo-voice, using poor grammatical English syntax. Message must have started during first ring as it was parsed. Transcript was; "using any financial activity on devices in order to speak to Apple support representative right one please press one or else call us back on our toll free number at 1,000 800 77 900 60 0666, Thank You. (long pause) Thank you for calling."

- TomThey keep calling, so lately I've been pressing 1 to get them on the line. That keeps them from scamming others for a bit.
I did report them, but then got this reply...
This telemarketer is calling you from outside the US, with the intention of stealing your financial details.
They run a number of scams, including the "IRS" calls, Apple, low-rate credit cards and government grants.
They are virtually impossible to track down, especially since they're outside our borders.
This is something the government needs to deal with.
I'm afraid all I can suggest is blocking them.
If you get other telemarketing calls, please let us know.
We do stop a lot of telemarketers.
