Hello. The same thing happened to me just today, like 40 minutes ago. However, I fell for it. They somehow got ahold of my email info and my number and such. At first, they said a 3.95 activation fee would be charged to my account. Then after talking nonstop, I was connected to another woman whom, at the end of her spiel, said 64 dollars would be charged to my account. I was kind of confused since they speak of this before, only until after it was time to get off the phone did they tell me this. I fell for it, hook line and sinker. I'm a stupid 18 year old college female. I called my bank number and, lo and behold, the 64 dollars was taken out like they said, but only after they kept me on the phone for 20 minutes, talking nonsense into my ear. I need help from someone if able to. I called them back saying that I wanted to cancel and refund my 64 dollars. They said that my account and everything hasn’t been activated yet since they just called me today, and they told me to call back tomorrow to see if it’s been activated. Then they can assist me in getting a refund, and taking me off their mailing list and such.  Please, someone reply back. I need all the help I can get. I’m a college student and I guess I was stupid enough to buy into this scam. I hope things can be changed. Please reply back!

I didnt even know it was Smart Shopper zntil I asked what company would be charging my card for 3.95! compared to other post theyre now sending a post card that says youve won a 100.00 gift card that can be used at Walmart or target! they give you a claim# but when I tried to cancel I got the run-around so I cancelled my card! Homeland Security or the FBI seriously needs tp get involved in this matter! I think they belong to Alqueda or the Taliban!

Cancell your credit card and report it as fraud. It shouldn't cost you anything but you might not get back the $69.11.

I had this happen and it was a walmart $100 gift card for shipping fee but I got enrolled in 2 sister companies
charging 14.95 a month and hydroxatone which was about $60 every 3 months for a face cream product I did not want had to return all product and they did cancel but what a mess...that was in April.2013 but now it is June 2013 and I get this guy David who is with this company calling me again. same voice and reminds me I called him from the post card. I flew into rage and he hung up but called back but telling me that the company will charge me $39.95 unless I call the  800 number and cancel. RED FLAGS HERE PEOPLE.. he wants me to verify my last 4 digits of my card number to get the 800 number from him. NO DICE  I canceled my card and don't have my new number and won't be giving it to anyone over the phone that is not a respectable reputable company... This guy David tells me he has my new card number and wants me to verify it. WELL HE IS NUTS if he thinks I am going to deal with him... he blocks his number on the phone so now I have to go and call my company and put a block on all blocked numbers so he will stop trying to call me..

They wanted to send me A free $100 gift card but then wanted my credit card number to pay $4.95 for shipping  for A gift card yea right nice try

i was trying to call charter and i was one number off and i end up calling them i thought i was talking to charter so i gave them my address name and card number but things got sketchy and i hung up then they kept calling from a 0000000000 number and i finally answer and i told them i wasnt interested and i want to cancel and the person made me verify the info to get to customer service to cancel so i did but right after i called my bank to cancel the card and they havent gotten a single cent from me yet and since i didnt pay for the activation fee should i worry will i still get billed i need help im only a college student and need help so please reply

This is a SCAM!  They call themselves smart shoppers.  COMPLETE SCAM.  I was desperate for the gift card and gave them my info.  Immediately after the call, I canceled my card.  I don't know what will happen.  I need to cancel everything.  They did not do what they said.  At the end, when I tried to cancel everything over the phone, they did not respond to me, left me on the phone with recordings, then hung up.
