They are called One Click Cash and if you google search them, you can see that this has happened to more than just me. I have am planning on reporting them to the Better Business B soon.

- ARTS| 5 repliesThey called me up on 10-16-2008, and ask for a name i did not know and then an address that i had never lived at and then an employer that I never worked at. then asked for my social security number and i asked then to furnish it and they could not. i told them they must have the wrong person.
- bluegooseAsked me to call 1-800-450-0753. I do not recognize this number. Researched the number it is supposed to be One Click Cash
- VannaZ replies to ARTSThis number has called me the last two mornings around 8:30 asking for a name I have never heard of too. When they called yesterday, I verified the number that they were calling and I told them that no one by that name was located at this number and asked that they remove it from their list. I got another call this morning, this time I called them back and told them that I have had this number for over 20 years, and that I would report them if they continued to call me. Let's see how that goes. All I know is that if they call me again tomorrow morning, I do not plan on being very nice.
- Tina| 6 repliesWhen dealing with collectors it doesn't matter if you are registered on the Do Not Call Registry because the Do Not Call is only for telemarketers (people who sell).
I can advise anyone to investigate the call. Answer the call only to get the full name of the business and fax # if possible, then hang up. Do not talk to them any longer and do not agree to anything.
Then, Google information on the business to get an address, phone or fax if possible - if all you can get is an address, that's good enough. Once you have that information, write a cease and desist letter listing your states statues on collectors practices and how they are violating it by harassing you by phone. Fax it or mail it out to them. If you mail, do it certified return receipt, so you know it was actualy delivered and received.
Give them at least 30 days for it to come to a stop. Usually it will take less than 30 days. They should stop. If they don't, then file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and with your State Attorney General.
Now, if they are hounding you and you do not owe them anything or have never dealt with them before, I would go directly to the Federal Trade Commission and/or State Attorney General and file a report.

- BigJimCalled two days in a row asking for someone I do not know. Sounds like a collection company. Have had my phone number for about a month and get calls for a variety of other people, to say nothing of telemarketers. Have listed my phone with the Do Not Call list. Hope it takes effect soon!

- RelocatedI've been getting calls from this bunch lately, too. My problem is that I recently left the US and moved Down Under; the calls now come in when it's around four in the morning for me. Needless to say, I don't answer.
Does anyone know how I can get them to stop calling, without having to go down the "threatening letter" path? I'm a little tired of the middle-of-the-night calls... - NotCherylKingI have been receiving regular calls from this number for maybe two weeks now on my cell phone. My reception is terrible, so I never answer. When I returned their call, I was greeted by a man who spoke heavily accented English and asked for someone I'm not. I've received calls both commercial and personal for the name he gave me, so I'm a little perturbed that they continued to call me, as my voicemail explicitly says I'm not this person. I lost reception before I could tell them not to ever call again, but I'm hoping they got the message.
- dexterthis cell is rarely used: it got called 7 times between 8/4 and 8/28; they allegedly took the number off of their list as it was attached to someone else, never asked for any information......we'll see.
- ParisCalled the number back - some check cashing place. Haven't called in a while and then they called again today.
