- Nikki| 1 replyI've been getting calls all morning from the number, glad I haven't answered. I do have medical bills that I'm working on and because of companies like this, I pay directly to the hospital. You don't HAVE to go through the collection agencies. If you call the hospital's billing department directly, they will take a payment from you. I've had to do it in the past. It drives the collector's crazy when you tell them you're paying the hospital directly, that alone gives me a small joy, lol.
- anon replies to NikkiWell, I got a call from the same number, and tried to call it back. They didn't leave a message, so it must not have been that important. Upon calling, a male automation says, "The service you are attempting to use is restricted or is unavailable". What kind of crap is that? Some collection agency. How professional of them. I also hate the fact these people want $$ on their time, and nothing more. If this is indeed a collector, they will get w/e $$ I can and will give them, When I can give it. I cannot pull wads of cash out of my [***] on a whim. We can thank the economy for that small addition. Besides, there was no consideration put down to begin with on either end. So I am well within my rights, where harassment is concerned. Hope all here don't let those vampires get the best of em.
- sallycallin leaves no message, multile times a day
- elliott replies to PALadyThey cannot take what you do not have...face the judge, and he/she will see you have nothing
- patriciaThis is a collection agency for doctor's office etc. I got a call yesterday wanting them to verify my husbands DOB, SS#, etc. Wouldn't do that so they hung up. When I got to looking through a doctor's bill that we had trouble with back in August of 2009, they had turned me over to collections for the doctor's office mistake not billing my insurance company.

- tiredofgettingcalls replies to MattThis is NOT legit. They keep calling but I've never had anyone from this place leave me a message...so I called them. They wanted to verify info which I told them I would not. Told them I don't deal with anyone who can't tell me who they are or what they want besides "it's a personal business matter." Told the woman to take me off their call list immediately, she agreed to do so. Scammers and time wasters...ignore them. PS I don't think this is debt collection 'cuz I don't owe anyone anything!
- DaveI keep getting calls from this number as well as a recorded message. I actually spoke to someone about three months ago and said that I would not do any business with a solicited call stating that if there were some info that could be mailed to me I would consider responding. Since then, I still receive around three calls a week and have not seen a letter in the mail stating what I owe, if anything at all.
- drewIt is a company called miramed that collects hospital bills, I had received one for one hundred that was only a few months past due, and they had the nerve to charge interest on it of 13 cent well like thier going to get it

- Dave TIve been out of work since december and have had a few hospital visits which naturally result in a few bills that ive gotten behind on. I dont remember how or who referred me to that miramed site but i did go there based on some bill statement and i have made a few payments through them...
I got a hold of my local hospital assistance as i got a final notice from them and they said if i filled out their paperwork they could eliminate or provide a good amount of assistance but while waiting for their review of the forms i filled out they would STOP everything from going to a collection agency and everything would be on hold.
Now a few days later im getting calls from miramed collection... So if the hospital put all collection on hold why am i getting these calls?? Cause like most have stated here its probably a scam from some independant company... I am now no longer answering... if they are a legit company they will mail me some form of legal document or statement...- Caller: MiraMed
- jdI got a few call from this number and the same thing. All he would say is that hes calling from MeriMed. He wanted me to give him ny date of birth for "Identification" purposes. I told him that I would not because about 8 years ago I nearly got myself in a huge financial jam because of doing that. They knew my name. I just hung up on them

- lakotakatYep - this is a COLLECTION AGENCY for Medical/Doctor bills. I informed them I am on the "Do Not Call" List. Refused to give them any information regarding reference numbers, etc., just gave them my phone number, and told them if they call again I was going to report them. This seemed to have helped for a couple of months. But them a new "rep" started callng, and I'm back to square one again! BTW - they both told me that it was perfectly legal to call me. I said Yes, it is, ONCE - but it does not give them the authority to "completely harrass" a person!!
DO NOT GIVE these scumbags your social security number, birth date, etc.!! Drive them crazy by answering "maybe/maybe not"!! LOL!!- Caller: Mira Medical Collections

- JennyJust a few things. This is a collection agency. By law they can not divulge any info about your account or that they are even collecting a debt until you confirm you are the person they are looking for. I would not give SS but address or DOB should suffice. They are actually doing that to protect our info- although I agree that certain scams are presented this way as well so it can be very confusing. Just FYI guys!

- AMFMI received a call from this number 800.322.1991 on my company's phone line the other day. He said his name was Nigel from the Miramed Revenue Group (I think, he had an English accent that was difficult to understand). He kept asking for my zip code and date of birth, but wouldn't confirm who he was looking for or what he wanted. I told him I’m not handing over my personal info and that this was a company line so I can’t be sure he’s looking for me. He restated that this was necessary for a personal matter, so I instructed him to call the personal line of whoever he was looking for as this was an unwelcomed call on a public line. He said “I’ll make a note. Thank you. Good Bye” in a snarky English accent. After researching complaints about this number, I called all doctor's I've seen in the past (there are not many) and confirmed my balance was zero. My credit report came back clean, I have no outstanding bills, and my accounts are accurate. I did not receive debt notification via my cell phone, home phone, email or home address.
Do not pick up this number or verify any information. They are obviously not a legitimate company,- Caller: Miramed Revenue Group
- BobSomething to keep in mind about all these continuing bothersome calls for surveys, so called charities and so called charity pickups despite asking them to remove you from their list:
Call centers have sprung up in my town that make use of the survey and the charity loophole around the do not call list; they have been a headache for law enforcement, emergency services, neighboring businesses and residential areas. When I ask any patrolling officer in town about these call centers, they are quick to state their frustrations about the criminal activity that some of these call centers have brought into the area. Several law enforcement agencies regularly visit some of these call centers looking for warrant arrests etc. I have heard from sources including from frustrated employees that work for these call centers complaining about the drug activity, vandalism of cars and neighboring businesses, break-ins and theft, drinking while on the job, smoke breaks are actually marijuana breaks, drunk driving, very dangerous driving, tons of tossed out litter of empty liquor containers, trash, food etc. I’ve even heard that the mangers are also involved in criminal activities and have even preyed on their legitimate employees who are simply trying to eek out a living on horrible wages. Also the operators are untrained in a very high turn around, poorly managed and dysfunctional work environment.
Also realize this when you call a companies’ customer service line and get horrible service from the call center that’s been hired by the company. One time while on a call with our bank’s customer service, the operator was so loopy that it required ending the call and calling again to try and get someone else to help, think about that when you call a companies’ customer service and the conversation gets odd, off the wall and obtuse – you may be talking to an operator that’s drunk or on something. After 6 months of getting a different and wrong answer to our ongoing problem each time we called our bank’s call center, we gave up and closed the account.
With so little police left in our town due to cutbacks, they can’t always respond to vandalism and break-ins when it’s witnessed as they have their plate full responding to the major emergencies, this allows the criminal activity free reign, the neighborhood becomes the hood. Some insurance companies require proof of private security patrols before they will honor a claim due to vandalism or theft leaving the neighboring businesses off guard and uncovered. These businesses also have the added cost to hire private security, install security systems/monitoring, upgrade lighting etc. Then there are the dangers and headaches to the nearby businesses employees such as their cars being vandalized or broken into. Some businesses simply give in, pickup and move out of town.
One of my neighbors owns a call center and he requires that his operators are bonded, but I guess there’s no laws requiring this – there should be. Right now in my town it seems like anybody can start up a call center and hire questionable labor for cheap without much regulation.
I my efforts the past several years to try and get something done, I am most struck by the fact that there’s no real help, everyone is more worried about being sued than dealing with the obvious problem - you are on your own while the town is taken over by the crime these call centers bring into the neighborhoods....- Caller: OUT OF AREA
