- Jer| 3 repliesIt's a medical collection agency. My insurance refused payment to my doctor's office until they had received some further information from me. So my wonderful, note the sarcasm, doctor's office sent the fee to collections. This ignorant company called me a liar when I told them this and told me to stop being pathetic and pay my obligations. Quite frankly, even if my insurance company refuses to pay it, it is so not getting paid. And I have already changed doctors. This company has been judged regarding professionalism and found lacking at best.

- BHL| 9 repliesMy husband was diagnosed with COPD. We still owed slightly over $12.00 dollars after the test from back in Sept 2010. We did not get a satement and to top it off we were turned in to collections?????????? We own a company and as soon as I submit this I will call the Drs office about the collections they turned us into.

- kay replies to BHL| 8 repliesThe same thing happened to us. We did not receive letter or any thing from Bluefield Regional Hospital. One night they called us and said we were being suided over $19.00. This is a shame that the economy is so bad that the hospital can't mail out bills.

- RebeccaCalled @ 4:44 PM today, according to the caller ID. To my knowledge, I don't owe any medical debt, and I have all the EOP's for the last 5 years as backup. They didn't leave a message. I hope they're trying to scam me, because if I'm able, I'll sue them.

- Carno50Amazing, they said they didnt get a 20.00 payment from February. Well this is my co pay. I have been to the doctor 7 times since then and payed ever bill that i recieved. You would think if the 20 dollars was missed it would have showed on the next statement. Not so, they said they dont rebill. Dont owe nothing and dont like the fact my doctor would turn me over to a collection agent without notifying me.
Good luck.- Caller: Medical Collection Agency

- A-Non-E-MouseThis company is wholly owned by the medical practices and hospitals who use them to collect. It does not get reported to credit bureaus. Rarely does the collection agency know what arrangements have been made between the patient and the original doctors or hospital. It's a pretty pathetic arrangement in which there are many flaws and the right and left hands don't communicate well. If even one person doesn't check something on their checklist, it goes to collection, often even if your insurance has paid and you haven't even received a statement on your portion of either the deductible or co-pay. I've sent PASI scathing letters and had the original doctors' billing company call back and eat crow so you actually can get somewhere with them. Just go back to the original source and skip dealing with PASI.

- johnsI am guessing that this is the collection agency for Community Health Systems again. I was in a car accident that was not my fault. The other party was found at fault, received citations, and has automobile insurance. They seem to not understand that I am not responsible for this hospital bill. They have been told for years, and they continue to call and want my hospital copay. I even have a letter that was mailed to me (written by their corporate office) that says I am not responsible for this bill, yet they continue to call me. Just not real smart people when it comes to common sense in their job. If they can't talk to their employer about an account, that's not my problem. They need to get it together. I've told them at least a dozen times, yet they continue to call back as if they have never communicated with me or their owner (CHS) about this account. Doh!

- DetectiveGirl| 2 repliesYes, here's what to do. Let them call you but don't answer. The number they called from will appear on your cell phone Caller ID. Keep the number and then go and BLOCK THE NUMBER FROM YOUR CELL PHONE, THEY WILL NEVER BOTHER YOU AGAIN. Next time they call you it goes straight to a HANGUP SYSTEM and you don't even know they called, it's all done SILENTLY. THEN YOUR C3LL PHONE WILL ALERT YOU THAT YOU HAVE A VOICEMAIL, BUT WHEN YOU GO TO RETRIEVE IT, THERE IS NOTHING THERE BECAUSE THEY CAN'T LEAVE A MESSAGE.
I DID THIS AND IT WORKS AND I HAVE BLOCKED ABOUT 10 OTHER NUMBERS.
GOOD LUCK....- Caller: No Name-just a phone #.
