- mags replies to SusanIt's their online banking support number, meaning a number to call in to. That should not be a number that would call you unless you submitted an inquiry about help with your online banking and asked them to call you back.
- CPSimilar to above, called claim a fraudulent charge….when I called Citibank they said no fraud activity. Also said they can only make charges if you provide the three digit code on back.

- DWHi, I never post stuff but damn this was good. The automated message sounded legit. 800-374-9700 is a Citi Bank phone number. I have 1 card that hasn’t been affected but nothing else, said there was a$1400 charge.
Scammers are getting better.- Caller: Pretend Citibank

- Caller: Fake Citibank
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- 800-374-9700These people are very slick. Caller ID says Citibank. When you pick up they drop a fake fraud alert/suspicious activity on your account. They will transfer you to another "specialist" to sort it all all out. This second person will inform you that your account has been charged $1400 by a source in Indonesia. At this point, if you are still on the phone with them HANG UP. Next, they are hoping you are so blind-sighted by the $1400 fake charge, they start giving you instructions. They will ask you to put them on speaker and ask you to open a window on your phone. You get the idea. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SOPHISTICATED SCAM.

- Eliza BGot a call from this number, I do not have a Citibank account so I was suspicious; through the google search verified that this is a phishing call. Do not give them any information even if you have an account with the bank they pretend to be calling from, always call back from a number taken from the actual bank's website or if you still get paper statements, use the number listed on them.
- Caller: Citibank..?????

- KerryI did not answer the call as Caller ID did not show any name & I sent it to voicemail. The message (1st part not recorded) was about a "transaction" and said to press 1 (or whatever) to connect to Citibank fraud. I don't have any Citibank accounts/cards so I know it was a scam.
