- distressed| 1 replythis is HSBC, can't think of clever rude comment for the letters to stand for, so I will say that they call me AT LEAST THREE TIMES DAILY BEFORE 8AM. I thought this is illegal....who can I report this to? Anybody know?
- Caller: HSBC
- Call type: Unwanted
- AlfalfaI doubt if reporting them to the FTC will do any good, since the FDCPA only applies to third party collection agencies.
Go to http://householdwatch.com/ and file a complaint.
They are gathering complaints which are supposedly being monitored by various regulatory agencies. - DennisGet calls from 800-395-2274 and they are always hang-up calls. No message so apparently an automated/auto-dialer machine which dials numbers automatically. WWW check shows this belongs to HSBC.
- Caller: HSBC
- MSThey call my CELL PHONE starting at 7:30 am until about 9:30 pm 7 days a week. They will call about 12 times a day. When I answer...NOTHING. When they leave a message...dead silence and then hang up! I do not own a single credit card. My car was given to me as a gift from my parents and is completely paid off..and my cell phone is always paid on time so I do not know why they are calling me. I have pulled my credit report and have seen NOTHING on it so I am assuming this is the wrong number and would like to tell them but when I answer they dont say anything!!!
- Caller: HSBC Bank
- ericaGot a call asking for a husband and wife who are neither me nor my spouse. I have previously been called by HSBC as, apparently, my phone number has been linked to their acct. Very annoying as I actually DO have an HSBC acct.
- PaulAnswered the phone and robot says "We have an important call but all our operators are busy." So I hung up.

- charles gilson replies to Pi get a least 10 calls aday, they call themself card services, they said to give them my full card number.and they would stop calling me.after i ask them to quit calling me the women said she could't until i gave my number
is this a skam - PhoenixMiranda replies to 8003952274| 2 repliesI just got five calls from this number between 9 AM and 1:30 PM. I didn't answer the last three.
I tried calling it back and an automated voice said, "Welcome to Card Services. Please enter your full account number now."
I'm not behind in any credit card payments (because I avoid credit cards like the plague) and I haven't ever bought anything bigger than a spindle of CDs or DVDs from Best Buy (no reason to yet).
I'm not worried about it personally because they're not calling about me.
Here's the kicker though: When I pick up, they ask for my best friend's husband.
How in the world my number could have gotten associated with one of his cards is beyond any of us. He's looking into it and said he'll let me know what he finds out, because it's been driving me nuts, and needs to be fixed.
Crazy, man. - IAMJust received calls, since April 3, they call 6 times a day. Leaves no message. I wonder if those of you who answer and get someone . Try telling then Identity Theft and see if they stop.
- Her HusbandMy wife has an account with HSBC that is current. I'm constantly getting calls from their listing and no one is every on the phone. This has become very annoying. What can i do too stop this?
- Caller: HBSC
- parkthis number call my cell everyday 4or 5 times would you please stop call?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- pkoepkeI also have no outstanding debt however I answered this morning when they called and they asked for someone I have never heard of. I told them they have the wrong phone number and they said Ok and hung up. I think people make up phone numbers when they apply for credit and then people like us get their calls for their bad debt. That's my guess. We'll see if they continue to call even after they found out they have a wrong number.
- PeteThese jokers call all during the day. Sometimes there is a person on the other end, sometimes not. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, the person refuses to do so.
It is obvious that attempting to have a logical conversation with a HSBC employee is just a waste of time.
Excuse me... the phone is ringing....sorry for the interruption... it was card services...again.
From now on I am going to start registering my complaints with my elected (non-representative) officials. Although they would rather be championing some inconsequential politically correct cause, it's high time that they started to do something on behalf of the people that elected them. Who knows if they actually start doing some "real" work, they may have less time to pick the tax payer pockets with another one of their vote buying scams.- Caller: HSBC

- louieAll my accounts are up to date and they keep calling!!!
- SycoreIf it is your cellphone, save them as a contact on your cell phone, then set their default ringtone to "No Ring" When they call it will not bother you.
If it is your home phone, call your home phone provider and tell them you want this number blocked from harassing you, the caller threaten your child. If they say they can not, threaten to cancel your service and spesak to a supervisor.
If that fails there is free software called phonetray . com that will leave a service disconnect message for any caller you want. Just put in their number and when they call the phone will not ring and they will hear the message. All you need is a duplex 56K modem. Check out their site for details aqnd help setting it up.
Finally, their main headquarters are in Illinois, so call and complain to that states attorney general about the harassment and threaten to kick their azz if they don't do there job, and protect the consumer.- Caller: HSBC Scumbags

- Diane YoungI do not want to be bothered by these calls. Until the consistent calling and threatening of my daughter, I was willing to do the best I could to borrow from people, etc to try to pay your bills. But after the threat to my daughter, I have another set of cards to pay. Shame on you people.
- MarkCompany called several times (5+ times in 2 days) to remind me of payment that was past due.
- Caller: Card Services

- JDinFL replies to file complaint on do not call list| 2 repliesThe Federal Do Not Call list only works to stop most (not all) telemarketers. Many political and non-profit organizations do not have to remove your number and may call anyone they wish.
In addition, if you have a current business relationship with a company, whether your bill is current or not, that company may call you even if your name is on the do not call list. - A HOLESThis number just called me again for the 4th time today--and on a Sunday. I have caller ID so I know its the same 800 395-2274 number called. I just checked on line and see that its some bank card organization in Canada. I never dealt with this company before, don't owe them money and do not even own a credit card. I picked up the phone this time to ask them what in the H do they want and to stop harrassing me. I was about to hang when after about 90 seconds a weak, female, heavy accented voice ask to speak to Charles Lee. I had to hold my composure before I totally lost it and cussed this F-er out. For the record, there is nobody in my home named Charles Lee--or Charles or just Lee. I told this person that she had the wrong number and to please stop calling my telephone number. She said something foreign, so this pissed me off and I went ahead and cussed her A out, shouting I told her dumb A to stop calling me and get a D life.
