I just got a call from that number . Did you figure out who it is?

I just got a call from the same number.  Called back and it was DirecTv.

DIRECT TV calling on Sunday Morning... Not good Promotional idea..!
Wanting to sell me additional channels.

This is a scam! They claim to be Direct TV wanting to give you free premium movie channels. When she started asking me questions about my account (which she should have that info if she really worked for Direct TV), I hung up. I called the Direct TV Customer Service line and they told me this was definitely not one of their people. Do not give any personal info to them!!!

Caller scam. This is definitely not Direct TV. Called Direct TV, as I have that one, and was told caller id would say "Direct TV" - not listed as unknown. Was told they do not call their customers without proper identification. Checked their data base for the number and it did not show up connected to them in any way.

I also got a call from this 800-401-1691 and thankfully did not answer it. I have been curious ever since who was calling and now know this is a scam number. Please stop these people.

This is bordering on harrassment!!  I had 8 calls yesterday and 4 already today!!  I am sick and tired of this!

Ive received several calls from this number and they never leave a message and i was starting to wonder what the heck... I have never picked up once or called back

Received call from this number, 800-401-1691.  Did not answer as I did not get an identifiable name on my caller ID.  Looked it up and found this forum as well as others that said the same as all are saying, SCAM!!!

Called by (800)401-1691. Claiming to be Directv (shows up as unknown). The guy spoke very broken English. Offering Showtime & Cinemax for 3 months for $11 per month. Did not give me time to talk or answer. Hurriedly told me the two channels would be on within 2 hours & hung up. I immediately called Directv & they said my account showed no recent activity at all & they would investigate it.

I get a call from this number on the average of twice a week.  If I answer, nobody is there, and they never leave a message.
