After reading comments, I called the number, heard this message after the first ring, "We apologize, but all DirecTV representatives are currently assisting other customers.  Please leave a message and a representative will contact you as soon as possible.  Thank you."  I did not leave a message.

I just did the same thing as well, after not answering the call.  I did the *67 before calling so they wouldn't have my number again.

I just keep calling and leaving them harassing messages hazaaa!

It's directv I think, I recently put them in place for adding fixing fees and other type of fees after bedroom receivers were not working and loosing signals for months.

It's definitely not Direct TV, It's obviously aliens bahahahahah, just kidding but really its not direct tv, they are not affiliated at all with this number

Same thing happened to me several times it goes to a recording saying DirecTV representative is not available there helping other customers please leave a message maybe I should leave a message and see what they do when they call back

Scam, this is not directv, they didn't even leave a voice message.

I get calls from this number every day, several times a day.  800-401-1691

Although this is not Directv, it is their telemarketing number.  The people are authorized by Directv to give offers for free months of "whatever" if you sign up through them.  However, they do not follow through with anything and then cause problems with customer service line of Directv.  I only know this because I called customer service and reemed them a new one.  Sadly they can't remove me from the list either.

They called & said they were from direct tv,  we would get free Chanel ,  but when I called. Direct the ph # is not affiliated with them

Got a call from them. I answered.....no one there this time! So tired of all these calls!

I told them to call me back at 8 that night because I was at BWW, but did get a call back this 1200 the next afternoon.  They didn't really give me much time to talk and were rather pushy.  I hung up and tried calling the number back, and it said that all of their reps were busy and to leave a message. BAM, OBVIOUS SCAM.  Direct TV has a huge automated system you have to go through before you get the option to speak to a rep.

calls from 800-401-1691. 1st of all!!! I'm so tired of call to my cell phone for solicitation of sales and or scammers. I'm listed on the National Do Not Call Registry for criminy sakes... Most recent call from this number didn't give a name but when I called it back the message says it's DirecTV.  If I don't know it I don't answer it and with my PhoneFusion even if a name doesn't come up when they call me it will almost always show a name on my missed call or message log. This one didnt show a name on the log. DirecTV's number is 800-347-3288. btw. I'm not sure if it's a scam or not but If it showed as DirecTV and I did answer I would tell them as I always do... NO, I don't want the additional premium channels and if I was to ever decide that I did, I would call them.

This number called my cell and landlines, both of which are registered with opt out.  Additionally, no message was left.

10 Dec 2015 (800)401-1691. Claiming to be DirecTV Telemarketing. CID unknown. Calls multiple times a week/month.

They called, I did not answer, but they left a blank 26 sec voicemail.
